Sharon Marshall revealed that the Peacock's staircase was moved around a few months ago, with this week's forthcoming stunt in mind! "It would make the fire more dramatic apparently", that is the official line. Like any of us wouldn't notice the staircase being moved around Rolling Eyes Laughing

why do it months ago, it changed round after Bev left.

somebody mentioned Chesney singing a song which wasn't from Bugsy Malone, we probably weren't meant to notice that either.

maybe next term we'll see the school production of the Mikado where Ryan Connor does a rousing rendition of 'Any Dream Will Do'.

Maybe to allow us to get used to it for a while before this week's events. If it moved just a few days before the vital scene, it might confuse viewers even more.

My guess is that the woman who torches the place pours petrol through the front door and lights it. Of course this is now at the bottom of the stairs, trapping the family upstairs with no way out. With the previous arrangement it'd have been easier to come downstairs and go out of the back door.

The Jeremy Kyle show and Glitterball were mentioned in last night's episode. Glitterball not so much but i could see where they were going with it! Laughing

the stairs are still in the lounge, and
it's Freddie's room that is on fire

I thought it was rather dull tonight. I didn't watch the second episode - based on the "cliffhanger", I suspect I didn't miss much.

I thought it was quite boring as well compaired to other episodes over the last few months. Steve and Michelle together just makes me yawn.

The painting behind Ken's front door, is Jesus with his hand on a Scout's shoulder, showing the scout the right way. I think SM said itwas called The Pathfinder. She did say that it had been there since "day one" and it was Albert Tatlock's originally.

Fiz's new love-interest John was in Emmerdale as the copper who split up with Louise last year.

Alison King (Carla Connor) has been in Coro before, as a bored housewife who Jason Grimshaw 'entertained' a couple of years ago. As well as a character on that celebrated soap Cleaner Close of course.

Well at least the staircase changed in the Rovers after the fire!

I remember when Ali King was in Corrie as Jason's housewife lover. However when I met Alison in Manchester earlier this year I forgot to ask her about Cleaner Close, I just asked her about Dream Team and Corrie.

after the shop fire Dev suddenly acquired a new stock room which would take up some of the yard and be level with the Webster's Kitchen only it doesn't exist outside in scenes from the Websters yard

they mentioned some behind the scenes footage of the fire on This Morning but didn't catch when

The interior/exterior sets have become so different it must surely be obvious to non-anorak wearing viewers. Soon any real-sized exterior set will need somewhere like the Millenium Dome for space.

The interior and exterior has always been different - the Rovers before the fire was even worse that what it is now as the Select bar would have been the other side of Rosamund Street. Also the original Corner Shop had a living room and kitchen where the stock room is now, mind you the actual shop was far smaller as it wasnt self service like now.

Reported in the press today that comedian Sean Hughes is joining the cast of Corrie.

A Corrie spokesman said:
Quote:
"Sean will be playing Pat, Eileen's new love interest."

According to the insider, lonely Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is instantly smitten with the dashing newcomer.

However, there's more to him than meets the eye.

I kind of get the feeling we've done this before.
