, well... this morning!
Phil and Fern showed her very first appearance in 1971, speaking with Ena Sharples. They also showed Mavis dragging Madge Hindle from a river, a classic Mave and Reet exchange, Des Barnes demolishing the Wiltons' garden with a speedboat and Mavis's farewell (which made Thelma well up!).
She is due to appear as Lady Thaw this Saturday on Doctor Who , hence her appearance on TM.

I don't think it's been confirmed but I'm almost certain you're right.

Well there had to be some point to that woman, although clearly Eileen will get blamed .

Yes a great episode tonight and Blanche..yet again...interferring.
Shame the episode was dominated by the Morton family.

She seems to have aged about 30 years though!
Morten - only the really Grandad annoys me, and it pisses me off we have yet another "you can't join the police" storyline. That twin girl looks far too old for the part - I keep thinking she's the older sister, not 18.

What did everyone think of tonights? IMO it wasnt as good as the other episodes this week, possibly due to too much Mortens! However its great to see Denise again after all this time.

I dislike them all. Infact the girl who wants to join the police force is the only one that I dont mind but I wouldnt say I really liked her either.
With all the great stuff with the Barlows and Connors at the moment, the Mortons arent anywhere near as good.
