Yes, quite a shame really that she isn't seen as often anymore, presumably because of her illness. She is one of my favourite characters.
According to IMDB she has done 1 episode this year on 18th February.

Me too, it would be a shame if what is mentioned there in the 'spoiler' is true.

I have to say I think corrie has lost the plot since last year, it very much storyline-led these days and chaser after the rating, like EastEnders in 2002/03, the only storyline that has been interesting this year has been the Tracy killing Charlie and now that over, its crap.
I know this site is very bias towards corrie as no one has a bad to say about it whereas as EastEnders can not do anything right.

Call me crazy ...
... but has Coronation Street lost the plot?
Don't get me wrong. Corrie has always been my favourite soap. Elsie Tanner, Curly and Raquel, Richard Hillman . . . Champion! EastEnders is a mediocre misery-fest. Emmerdale's propensity for The Big Event (more murders than the slums of Colombia) makes it hard to take seriously.
Corrie has the best kids (Chesney, Sophie and Rosie Webster), the wittiest OAPs (Norris and Blanche), and the most far-out weirdoes (David Platt and Dev, who has recently turned into a pimp from a blaxploitation movie). How could it go wrong?
Well, soaps often struggle after a big storyline, and Tracy's killing of Charlie was big - though not as big, one suspects, as The Street wanted. The verdict was too predictable. The victim was a pantomime villain - and, you could argue, so was Tracy.
So what to do? First, a new family arrived - the Mortons, led by, oh God, Sinbad from Br**ks*de. (I still can't bring myself to say the name.) Jerry Morton couldn't be a more stereotypical Scouser if he had a curly wig and kept telling everyone to "calm down, calm down". In Coronation Street? You're jokin' aren'tcha?! Next, Jason's baby ... except it's not Jason's baby, and her mum wants her back. So the idea that Jason's mum might be able to keep her is nonsense.
Finally, the death on Monday of a Polish night-shift worker in the Gallaghers' - sorry, the Connors', factory. Covering up a death only days after David and Tracy conspired to disguise her murder of Charlie seems a bit precipitous. The writers have even had the gall to suggest that because the Connors have concealed a suspicious death before (their sister's boyfriend's), this makes it more plausible that they might do it again - rather than less.
All very poor. Time for everyone involved to wake up and smell the hot-pot.

It wasn't until the end of that post I realised that was taken from an article and not your own views. It may help if you put "Taken from The Mirror..." etc at the top.
Anyway, yeah Corrie has its faults but no matter how bland some of the storylines/characters may be they always manage to keep consistent...in my opinion. I wouldn't go as far as saying "its crap" when a good storyline finishes - thats a ridiculous theory.

I agree with parts of that article but Corrie is still enjoyable. I do think improvements are required though.
In other news, Joanne has been axed.

Can't say I'll miss her.
