In view of the programme I saw last week about Eastern European (Pay as You Go) surgery I am surprised Blanche's hip has lasted this long.

I was always confused about the TARDIS qaulities of some of the houses on Coronation Street (after all we have even seen internal re-configeration of the Peacock residence without so much as a builder in sight/on-site).
There are presumably 3 proper bedrooms in No.1 (although many terraced houses of that era converted the 3rd one into a bathroom - negating the need for the outside loo). Blanche is using the front room as a bedroom, which we rarely see - thereby making four in total. Without space for an internal bathroom.
Ken & Dreary in one upstairs
Adam & Peter sharing (fly on the wall there I would like to be) upstairs
Tracey (pre-incarceration) & Amy upstairs
Blanche downstairs
Actually I think all the houses that side of the Street have 2 bedrooms upstairs (and they are 2 up 2 down houses) and all of them now have bathrooms upstairs and have done since the 1970s, so who knows how there is enough space at the Barlows for Ken, Deirdre, Peter, Adam, Tracy, Amy and Blanche!

Also according to the Sunday People, Alison King and Sean Gallagher have got together following her split from her fiancee. However an ITV Spokesperson has said "Alison and Sean are just good friends".
Does somebody apparently quitting also need to be put in spoiler tags? Anyway, I won't miss that particular character if it's true. Like you said, just a spare part these days.

No that's how English sounds when spoken properly-- much better than a Kent accent anyway (only messing!)
There are 2 types of Kent accent, those that drop their t's and aitches and those that don't. Sometimes i wander if Mr H and i are talking about the same thing sometimes.
So proper English is over pronouncing your sh's. I'll remember that next time i meet the queen.

Liam? Really? He's pretty agreed but his voice is really very irritating. It's worse than listening to someone slurping soup.
