Steve mentioned Styal Prison because it is the closest female prison (about 15 miles South of Manchester) and is well known in the area.

No doubt this is where she is supposed to end up if she is ever mentioned in later episodes. "HMP Redford" of course doesn't exist!

Could be, but I noticed the TV Times had him as "Star of the Day" saying he would be in both Corrie and The Royal last night, despite him not being in Corrie!
