Of course, they may have just filmed two scenes in the courtroom for when the verdict is delivered with the intention of showing both anyway as some sort of gimmick or whatever you want to call it to get people to watch whatever show it will be on (maybe they'll tag it on to the end of the ITV2 repeat - have a sort of 'What If?' scene). Anyway, I'm rambling - but I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to do two versions of the same scene - then again, maybe Jack was just having a laugh.

EDIT: Ignore rest. Embarassed

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant as well Laughing

Maybe the alternative ending will be shown in this upcoming programme...

The stupid new RT website now doesn't say who writes the episodes so does anyone know who writes Monday's double bill?

Rather pointless that though. How can a "jury" who have seen the programme put to the back of their mind that they saw Tracy murder Charlie, and base their verdict on the evidence presented in court alone?

Would anyone like to hazzard a guess as to what the ratings will be tonight.

Through the roof. It's on for an hour tonight too. Everything stops in this house tonight for Corrie.

I reckon about 11 million for the first, with a peak of about 11.5m-12m for the verdict announcement.

It has the potential to peak at a good figure, id say...

7.30pm 11.2million (peak of 13million, just before 8pm as people think the verdict will be given then, i assume they will say guilty or not guilty, then end there, find out at 8.30)

8.30pm Around 12million

Maybe im being too over the top?

Without saying which the Corrie Blog says one thing, the Sun says the other. Suppose I've just got to watch to find out.

I've never believe the two ending rubbish, they know whats going to happen. If they did do two endings, then talk of it in the Street afterwards would be very minimal as wouldnt you need to film two sets of scenes when people are talking about the aftermath.

In my opinion, its quite obvious what the outcome will be tonight. Nevertheless i'll be tuning. I've only ever been wrong about a story and that was with Max and Hollyoaks Cool

Agreed. Plus if they had two endings they'd cash in somehow by either releasing the alternative one as part of a DVD or at least showing it on ITV2.

IIRC Brookside did release the 'Not Guilty' version of the Jordache trial on video, although that was when shooting alternative endings was a novelty (possibly the first occurance of this?).
