Just read this on Corrieblog.tv - please someone tell me it's not true?

Jeff Hordley, who played Emmerdale’s bad boy Cain Dingle, is set to join Coronation Street, says The People. He’ll be arriving on the cobbles to play a womanising heart-throb and told the paper: “This time there is a good side to my character. I think fans of Cain might just be surprised.”

I can't stand that actor, with Sinbad and Craig Charles the Street'll be full of leftovers from other places. At least Bradley Walsh wasn't that well known for his acting. I really wish they'd concentrate on bringing "unknown" actors ino the cast. Rolling Eyes

We've covered that one already!

Re: "insulted fans" - bet it was probaly a case of him being out for a private meal with his family wanting to be left alone and a couple of people got pissed off when he wouldn't neglect his family to talk to them - so ran off to the press instead!

Possibly the only page I've not caught up with as I've been busy with other things. Sorry! However - that's my opinion on the subject, and my question's not been answered; does anyone know if it is true or not please?!

Well, someone could tell you it's not true - but they'd probably be lying! Wink

I cant stand him either so I hope its not true. As for the new family im not keen on them at all. I dont mind the twins, but hate Jodie, Kayleigh and the grandad. Not overly keen on Sinbad/Jerry either.

I love the way everyone is calling him Sinbad!

He's still in The Royal as well you know, so on a Sunday there is the potential for him to appear in two concecutive programmes playing two seperate characters

At least he's still got work, a lot of the stalwart Brookie lot have disappeared totally

Thats because to a lot of people he *is* Sinbad. A lot of people dont even know the actors names (my dad for example calls everyone by the characters names because he doesnt know the actors). Thats the problem with casting someone well known for another role, it takes ages for some people to get used to them as someone else.

Anyway, Corrie is on next weeks Whats on TV cover, and for the second week running! This is the 7th time Corrie has been on the cover this year (and the 7th time Kate Ford has!) whilst EE have had covers 6 times.

Thought id better spoiler tag this

Kate Ford leaves in the episode being shown on Easter Sunday, 8th April

Whooaoaaa.

So does that mean if she goes down we'll have boring in jail scenes followed by Tracy saying to Dreary "don't ever come see me again?" or perhaps Tracy will top herself. Or maybe she'll be set free (fat chance) and Deirdre will run her out of time on this day.

Not sure if its been posted, but here is Sundays ratings
Coronation Street - 9.8m

Don't the ratings dip a little during the summer, across most programmes?

That does seem a little low, considering the how good the epi was. Although as I'm sure you're aware it isn't summer for another three months Wink
