I see the new Morton Family are being introduced just like the Harris's/Nelsons. General bickering between family members etc.

They are promising and no where near as rough and loud as the Battersbys moving in, like the press had us to believe. Sinbad seems like he will fit in with the pub regulars, Steve, Young Mr Connor, Kevin etc
The lad will no doubt be friends with Devil Child, the 2 girls are a bit nondescript at the moment.

The Mortons must've been quick snapping up No. 6 - so quick it was never even advertised as up for sale (I think)!
Did Bethany have her first proper line tonight?

Bethany's spoken before, but now the twins seem to have all their 2nd teeth she can speak again without fluffing up the continuity.
Saw number four's rearrainged staircase quite obviously next to the front door and a spokesman told RT readers this week that the stairs haven't moved, it's a different camera angle.
we are not thick, if the camera angle is all that's changed we would not see the stairs as they would be behind the camera

Maybe the stairs didn't move - could have been the front door!

I hadnt noticed before. Very sad though that the Granada name is now completely gone from Corrie
As for the new family - so far they are ok but its early days yet.

I do apologise if this has already been mentioned.
Tonight, ©2007 Granada Television was replaced by 2007 ITV Productions.
It was only a matter of time before this happened but it is truly a sad occurrence none the less.

Yes, but can't the people who live on the street also be the people who work in the factory and the pub, use the garage, the cafe, the hair salon etc. We seem to have quite a few characters who don't live on the street at all.
Then the accusation would be that it is unrealistic. How many people do you know that work on the same street that they live on ?
How many backstreet's do you know contain houses, a corner shop, a post office, a garage, an underwear factory, a hair salon, a cafe, a builder's yard, a medical centre and a pub?
I hardly think realism comes into it.
I do think that it is unrealistic that there is a corner shop, pub, post office/newsagents, factory, garage, salon all on one Street and also a medical centre, cafe, takeaway, chip shop etc all around the corner. It used to be far more realistic when the Kabin and Cafe were on Rosamund Street, with just the Rovers, Corner Shop, factory and Community Centre on the Street itself. Everything wasnt on top of each other.
I don't think it is unrealistic of a tightly built-up urban area to have these things. Within a 1 minute (or less) walk from my house (2up 2down Edwardian end-terrace) there's:
Community centre, chippy, cafe, flower shop, balti restaurant, bookies, builders yard, nursery, warehouse, fireplace show room, corner shop (includes a newsagent), gospel church, a council neighbourhood office, a hairdresser and quite a good pub!!!
My only gripe with Corrie is the post office - that really shouldn't be there as it's rarely used anyway - there's so many closing that could be a "save our Post Office" storyline for Emily! Also, I think the shop set is unrealistic, and the shop and kabin would really be in one unit these days.
