well corry wins the 'most unconvincing un-exploded garden gnome' award

Emmerdale wins the 'most fake endings in a soap' award'

Eastenders wins the 'most shoutting for no apparant reason' award.

and Holly oaks wins best soap because it's about bloody time it won something a bit better than 'best cute child in a soap' award.
(Ellis Hollins is still a great little actor though)

oh sorry are we taking this seriously Embarassed

I gave Corrie Best Actress for the wonderful Sue Cleaver and Villain of the Year to Kate Ford. However, I voted for Hollyoaks as Best Soap because Corrie as a whole hasn't quite cut it for me this past year.

Tonight's episodes showed signs of improvement though I must say.

Didn't EastEnders win last year and Kate Ford had a face on her like a bulldog chewing a wasp?! Rightly so though, if they win again (which they probably will) then its a complete farse - not that it isn't already.

Anyone voting for Hollyoaks is wasting a vote. This will always come down to Eastenders and Corrie.

Of course it will but I feel happier giving my vote to the soap I think deserves the award, than saying "Oh it won't win, so I'll vote for Corrie or EastEnders even though I don't think they deserve it". I'm not deluded. I know that Hollyoaks won't win.

I've voted for Corrie in the categories which I think they deserve to win. I've voted for Sue Cleaver for Best Actress which is probably another vote wasted because these awards tend to go the younger actors, but I don't mind because I think she deserves it and that's all that matters.

I voted for Hollyoaks in 2 categories as well -Villan of the Year (Claire) and Best Actor (John Paul).

My other 4 votes went to Corrie including Best Soap of course. Smile

I wonder if the layout of the voting pages will favour Corrie. On many PC screens, you can only see the Corrie nominees when the page loads, and you have to scroll down to see the rest. I can imagine people who have no opinion might just click on what they see first... maybe.

Send that theory into the Daily Mail!

The truth is though ITV can even ask people to vote in the breaks around Corrie and EastEnders still somehow comes out on top!
