I'm pleased that Corrie won and not that "moan&gangster-fest" the BBC knock out!
Deadenders you mean? Leave aaaht wiwya, ah can't believe I'm hearing this, shat your maaahf... <repeat ad tedium>
Amusing story in yesterday's Sun saying that Katie "Tracey" Ford had to have bodyguards whilst filiming court scenes in Bradford, because passers-by were insulting her, calling her a "murdering bitch" and so on.
Calm down Bradford, it's only soap opera!

More accurately, as they are filming in the city centre, the local chavs are calling stuff out from the crowd, in fact I do wonder if they will ever manage to film any scenes

Well I did get that from The Sun , you don't expect accuracy from that paper surely?

Someone over on DS has edited a version of Corrie using a song over the scenes to argue the case for incidental music in soaps.

I personally love that clip and love music in programmes. People say it wouldn't / doesn't work in British soaps like EE / Corrie but I disagree.

It makes it seem less "real" / gritty to me. I remember they put incidental music in for The Bill episodes set in Romania, but it sounded "out of place" and it grated on me.

I think the problem is that when the big soaps have used music in the past they've often done it badly.

I must admit I'd like to have heard slight incidental music when June and Jim left The Bill for the final time the other night. Perhaps a slow piano version of the middle part of Overkill.
Of course it seems Emmerdale has some music contract for use of the music of Eva Cassidy.
Back to Corrie (which thread is this now?).. it seems that in this and many soaps - the characters don't have peripheral vision. Tonight we saw David talking to Tracy and Jason was clearly in shot. How he didn't see him is beyond me.
