Could be interesting!
Also read that which I'd thought from the start.
I read that spoiler a while ago but im not sure whether its been confirmed as true.
Be a shame if thats the case just as Jason is bonding with the baby.
Prob more reason for it to be true

Sharon Marshall did say last Friday on This Morning that it was Charlies. So i guess it is true.

Oh - can they accidently kill Vernon on their way out too!
Great idea! Or perhaps the idiot could be asked to lock up one night - and not bother so Liz finally chucks him out as the insurance won't cover the damage and stolen booze etc due to the door being left unlocked.
ANYTHING to get rid of Vernon! It's partly the character that grates on me, but also the actor who plays him - I couldn't stand him in EastEnders - he contributed to me stopping watching it (probably coincided with a return of Mike Reid too - never watched the show when he was in it).

Two other scenarios Corrie producers could consider:
Vandals break into the Rovers, spray graffiti, slash all the seating, smash up the stained glass seat backs, and
totally trash the entire public area of the pub so there's no option but refurbish, while maintaining a similar layout.

Me neither. From what ive seen in the previews I dont like the look of the new family, but will reserve judgement until they arrive on screen! However I dont like Jodie (I think thats her name) and her granddad from what we have seen so far.

I think it very much depends on the individual actor. Craig Charles only seems to be able to act the same 'cheeky chappy' part, but others have gone on to prove themselves as being able to reinvent themselves.
I never think of Michelle as 'that one out of Hear'Say' anymore, and Bradley Walsh quickly managed to dispel my 'downmarket light entertainer' view of him and proved himself as a great asset to the programme.
From what I understand Michael Starkey's character in Corrie is meant to be much nastier than Sinbad in Brookie, so he may surprise us.

I'm not looking forward to Michael Starkey joining, he is Sinbad off Brookie, just as Lloyd is Craig Charles. Corrie's best at unearthing new / little known actors, it's fast becoming part of the merry-go-round of soaps and on-going drama serials.

I'd no idea she was in Hear'say, but then I never watch those pop idol / x factor shows so she's a fresh face to me.
I was dead against Bradley Walsh but he was great in the end, although I'm not sure he should return - I like the way he went first time.
Generally though I don't like the thought of a scummy family joining, there're too many of them on my doorstep, I don't want to be reminded of them on Corrie,

I didnt mind Bradley Walsh before he joined Corrie but soon after arriving Danny fast became one of my favourite characters. I cant wait for him to return and to see what the writers come up with.
I think the Corrie cast is large enough as it is without adding a new family! I like most of the cast at the moment (apart from 4 or 5 people).
