I don't think Bradley's return is a good thing at all - it's only because he can't get another job at ITV!

Danny Baldwin has gone - move on! There is no storyline of real interest that could justify his return and anymore squables over the factory - well, it's going the same route as The Vic/Archers/Club in EastEnders!

AIUI, Googling can refer to using any Internet search engine, just as Hoovering can refer to using any vacuum cleaner.

So the sunday papers made it up again then!

You could tell it was a load of rubbish in the way it was worded

"CORONATION Street beauty Jenny Platt is sensationally quitting the TV soap, The People can reveal"
What exactly is 'sensationally quitting'?
"The stunning actress, who plays barmaid Violet Wilson, is one of the ITV soap's most popular characters"
No she isn't. She's a perfectly alright character but nobody would say she was the most popular. Hardly Vera or Rita

...and the fact that it was in The People, supposedly a newspaper Laughing

Yes, it can incorrectly be used when refering to any search engine but that wasn't really my point. Like many other shows, Coronation Street designed a fictional website to avoid promoting a real one. I just found it odd that they would go to all that trouble when the word Googling was used in the script anyway.

What would be so bad about showing Kirk using Google? It would be no worse that someone drivng a BMW car for example.

A great episode tonight with celebrations for Reet's birthday (she is 75 btw Smile ) and the reapprance (and for the first time this year) of Betty.

I too noticed when Kirk went to use google it was something else.

Im not sure if thats true. They always said he would return to Corrie for a period when it was originally said he was quitting.

I for one cannot wait to have Danny back Smile With Leanne back and Jamie still there there are loads of possible storylines!

Perhaps they'll bring Mike back as well... sorry but I agree with Brekkie that the soap is turning back on itself slightly.

Can't knock it though, have to see what happens.

Sean is really creeping me out at the moment, now that he's got a "secret love" and is teasing him. Still, if it means more classic comedy lines for Steve then so be it. Wink

I remember once when an Emmerdale character (Bob or Viv I think) did an Internet search, involving a search-engine called "Poodle"-- it looked not too unlike Google!

When Violet was in hospital, they wondered whether they ought to contact her relatives... until Jamie and Sean reveal she didn't get on with her relatives: "As in don't get on-- no birthday cards or anything".

So that aspect of Violet's life could be explored. As others have said; all we know of her past is the above, her relationship with Sean and Ken being her teacher when she was at school. Maybe Ken will bring something up something from her past. Jenny Platt is a great actress too.

She did hint that she had come out of a bad relationship when she first arrived. I remember her being reluctant to get together with Jason. I agree it is something to be explored.

May have missed this in the talk of Ashley and Claire's renovations - but has Eileen's living room always been that purple?

I agree. There's just so much about Violet that we don't know.
