All that has happened in Michelle's flat is that the walls have been removed between the hall, lounge and kitchen making it a bit more open plan (hope the asked Rita first Wink ).

I'm pretty certain the kitchen has moved. Previously they'd go out of the lounge door and turn left to go into the kitchen. Now the kitchen's to the right of the lounge.

since when did the peacocks completly renovate their house and put the staircase behind the dining room?

hang on whilst I erase all memories of what Number 4 has looked like for the last 16 years Confused

I'm just trying to think where the staircase was before Confused

Yes, I was a bit confused by that. At first I thought they were just using a reverse angle, but the staircase definitely wasn't where it used to be.

Similarly the layout of Michelle's flat has completely changed between when Steve moved out and she moved in.

Do they think we're thick or something and aren't going to notice stuff like this?

To quote the producer of Acorn Antiques : "It's only us professionals that notice these things-- joe public don't notice a thing!" Laughing

I think you only get about 10 years for murder these days don't you Wink

Charlie Lawson was on TV recently, he has a business to with breeding horses in NI. Summat like that anyway.

Steve's ex girlfriend was Ronni Clayton in case you were losing any sleep trying to remember her name Cool

The kitchen was always to the right of the lounge, with a wall which has now gone, the wall on the left of the lounge is the front wall of the flat with a window which Karren once threw Steve's clothes out of (an interesting soap tradition which I've never seen happen in real life, see a load of stuff dumped on somebody's front lawn once. tv, video, music center all out in the pouring rain at 8 in the morning)

Rita's flat (when we ever see it) is even more confusing because the layout suggests that the front door in her flat is at the opposite end of the building to the staircase we see on the outdoor set. Same with Fizz's flat, the stairs we see on the outdoor set lead to all intents and purposes into Lloyd's flat Shocked

never understood why set designers can't loot at the outdoor set and work out a logical internal layout which actually fits inside.

We hardly ever see Reet's flat - at one point we didnt see it for over 2 years! I also cant believe there is enough room above the Kabin for 2 flats (Michelle's and Reet's). We know Michelle's flat is supposed to be above the stock room of the Kabin as when Reg Holdsworth lived there that was where the whole waterbed fiasco happened.

Just been watching tonights and Tracy said Ken had lived at Number 1 all his life. Wrong - he has also lived at number 3, number 9, number 11, flat above the Corner Shop among other places on the Street.

Well it is Karen MacDonald we're talking about-- not the most stable of soap characters Laughing

I thought that too, he also lived the the massionettes (pre baldwin's casuals) when val electrocuted herself. The investigation into her death lead to the discovery of faulty wiring and other structural faults which resulted in them being demolished.

funny how they built the masionettes and with the exception of Ken and briefly Ena nobody seemed to live there Confused

I remembered about the flats (masionettes) but didnt know what numbers they were! Going by the 60s box set there was another woman who lived in one of the flats who Ena didnt get on with.

A shame they killed Val off, I liked her from what little episodes of her ive seen.

Do you mean Effie Spicer?

Laughing think she was "connected" with Annie Walker in some way.

I don't remember the massionettes as I was only about 3 when they were demolished. remember the warehouse fire though, that's my earliest corry memory (little boy, fire engines, what do you expect ) Very Happy

ken may not have lived in every house but I wonder if he's been in every house, or any other character for that matter.

Ken has never lived up Number 5, 7 or 13 as far as I know (and of course most of the houses on the other side of the Street). Deidre has lived in a few houses, number 1, 3, 5 and the Corner Shop flat.
