From the article on Digital Spy the language used seems to suggest "axed" rather than "quit" to me!

Well this part is interesting:

Frost confirmed: "Through discussions with Sean it as been agreed that he will be leaving the show at the end of his current contract."

It reminds me of the time that Ruby was axed from EastEnders - initially it was described as being a 'mutual agreement' before she later went on to say she was axed and wasn't very happy about it either. However, I'd like to think he hasn't been axed. You only have to look at the cast to see that he is one of the stronger actors.

I'll miss him, I thought he was a great addition.

Oh dear. My partner is obsessed with Sean Gallagher/Paul Connor so he is going to be seriously pi***d off Laughing Wink

Seriously though, I really like Sean/Paul myself and its a shame he is going so soon. As long as Carla doesnt go too.

It does seem odd that Sean has quit so soon.

Clearly Steve Frost is a sensationalist-seeking idiot, who thinks death is the only way out.

I disagree with you on this one pad. Dont forget that Kieran Roberts is Executive Producer so I think he is the one who is really the "sensationalist seeking idiot" Wink

Steve Frost has done wonders for Corrie since he became producer, and I think its no coincidence Emmerdale went down the pan when Steve stopped being producer.

Emmerdale didn't go "down the pan", what you mean is you stopped watching. Emmerdale continues to go from strength to strength.

It did for me. It was around the time Steve quit that I stopped enjoying it.

The fact its on for 6 nights is enough to put anyone off!

Kathleen Beedles has been good for Emmerdale (I don't actually watch but people say that) I believe.

Tonight's episode was quite good, the scene at the end was well done with the curtain - is that the end of Becky?

I agree tonights episode was really good. I hope we see more of Becky, I like her better this time around.

It was good to see Molly reappear, not to mention Vera!

I suppose Frost has done a good job of making previously unlikeable characters likeable - Becky and Molly at least. Still hate Vernon, doubt that'll change.

Arguably it's not Frost but just that we've had the chance to get to know them. Shame that tonight's episode had a lot of the Connors and I warmed to them even more, especially Carla and Paul, when all the time his days are numbered!

Which shows that spoilers are bad because it stops you enjoying what is happening at the moment

Someone mentioned on Teletext p143 the other day how it was obvious that ultimately Carla and Liam would end up having an affair.

Can't say I've seen signs of that myself - with Frankie and Jamie I thought it was obvious from the moment they moved in, but I just don't see it happening at the moment with Carla and Liam - though this news I guess makes it more likely.
