I'm getting really tired of Kelly - the over-acting is even over shadowing Dev at the moment!

Me too. I really hate Kelly at the moment. I did start to like her when the characters calmed down a bit but now I actually prefer Becky to her.

Funny watching those clips from 30 years ago. It seemed Corset-maker Blanche had a much kinder and considerate nature.

she did have a stroke, which would have changed her character. Her stroke story was written in for Deirdre to leave when Anne Kirkbride had cancer

What's with the 2 new oldies joining the cast ? The old guy that sits in the pub, and I think said his name was Wilf tonight, and Rita's friend (the one who used to be in Family Affairs) ?

I know a lot of comedy comes from the older characters, but don't you think we have plenty of these at the moment without adding any more to the mix ?

Tend to agree - the woman is OK, but the bloke is rather pointless.

I like Doreen because it gives Reet a much needed storyline and she annoys Norris which is always a bonus. Smile

However what were the scriptwriters thinking tonight when Reet said she wouldnt wed again? Course she would - to another rich fella so she can get all his cash when he snuffs it! Poor Reet after Ted died? Rich Reet more like! Smile

The guy who plays Wilf is the same guy who played Tommy (similar character) in Early Doors - but I'm sure you all knew that.

I think Wilf will part of that new nightmare family, father of that woman who has bought Diggory's old bakery. Something like that anyway Confused

Just been reading this on DS...

Over the coming weeks, Coronation Street's David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) ups the ante with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) as he demands more than she had anticipated.

On Wednesday, February 21, the tearaway teen is stunned when the cold-hearted and murderous member of the Barlow clan gives in to his demands and kisses him - promising him more if he continues helping her.

Although the kiss is Shepherd's first on-screen, he revealed that he wasn't the nervous one.

I kind of guessed this was coming, but hoped it wasn't. Eugh.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't take the next cliched step as well:

And obviously Tracy gets pregnant with David's child - and then gets sent down to give birth in prison!

I hope they dont - that would be taking things too far!

Anyone watch that Corrie behind the scenes thing on ITV1 this afternoon? What was it like?

I didnt bother since a) I was in work when it was on and b) it looked quite rubbish!

I saw the first few minutes - Hollyoaks got a mention on ITV daytime - and even a clip from Kurt and Ruth in it 10 years ago.

Soon switched off though - Terri is alright but Jeremy seemed to be given the role of idiot co-host and I couldn't take more than two minutes of it!

Random generic themetune too - I thought they might have a funky version of the Corrie theme for the occassion (only reason I tuned in really!).

I dont mind Terri Dwyer either but im not keen on Jeremy (Jez) Edwards. I bet they arent even Corrie fans.
