Its a shame so many people are casual viewers these days and will only tune in for a big episode such a Charlie's murder.

Perhaps; but we know what type of person that is, don't we?

If charlie had attacted her left handed she would have injured her right hand in self defence.

Tracey put the knife in charlies' left hand and stabbed her own left hand Confused

Is Charlie left-handed though? Remember those two CID officers have their doubts! David might be asked in court, which hand Charlie picked up the knife with. Since he didn't actually see the crime take place, he might assume the right-hand... think about it Wink

The inevitable result of too many episodes I'd guess.

Interesting to hear Tesco is considering sponsoring Corrie, which probably wouldn't be a bad choice, although I think a 'cosier' brand would be more appropriate - something like Tetley Tea, or if it was to be a supermarket (and it pains me to say it), maybe Morrisons.

Tesco could even buy out fresco when product placement comes into force.

Just spotted on the Network DVD site that, 'Coronation Street Rarities' is due for release on 30th April. There aren't any more details, but sounds like it could be interesting. I wonder what's on it.

ITV RE-UNITES TV COUPLE FOR SPECIAL SOAP SERIES

Former soap stars Jeremy Edwards and Terri Dwyer have been reunited to front a brand new series for ITV1 that will reveal the secrets behind Britain’s best-loved soaps.

In Coronation Street Confidential and Emmerdale Confidential Jeremy, 35, and Terri, 32, who played husband and wife Kurt Benson and Ruth Osbourne in Hollyoaks, will go behind-the-scenes on the sets of the two soaps and will uncover the latest twists and turns in the plots, meet new characters and uncover the dressing room secrets of the cast.

The show will be aired everyday for four weeks and will spend two weeks with each soap.

Terri and Jeremy will be revealing exclusive sneak preview clips of up-and-coming storylines and interviewing cast members as well as the behind-camera workers who have seen all the secrets the soaps have to offer.

And they’ll be learning the real on-set tricks-of-the-trade from stunt co-ordinators, extras, make-up artists and animal trainers.

I assume this will be going in the 5pm slot. I can see this being yet another flop, and deservedly so. ITV need to make an effort at finding a good show to work in daytime, this is just lazy.

You assume wrong. It's going to be on at 3pm from Feb 12th

Interesting. I wonder what they could be.

Talking of Network DVD's - I got the Elsie Tanner one yesterday. Havent watched it yet, but a shame that the 3 episodes the chose have already been released before in the 60s/70s/80s box sets. If it wasnt so cheap at £3.99 I wouldnt have bothered getting it.

From the Mirror:

ROMEO DEV MADE UP
By Brian Roberts

CORONATION Street ladies' man Dev is to be given a Trinny and Susannah-style makeover as he tries to revive his waning pulling power.

The one-time romeo, actor Jimmi Harkishin, is stung when his teenage daughter Amber tells him he is past it and an "ageing Casanova".

In one hilarious scene to be shown next month his attempt to chat up a sexy customer falls flat and he ends up looking ridiculous. Amber, played by Nikki Patel in the ITV soap, helps him buy clothes and slim down.

A Corrie source said: "It will hit home to men in their 40s and 50s who consider themselves lads about town. It also keeps up with the boom in makeover programmes."

Well that sounds interesting - NOT! Although if Amber is involved it could be amusing.
