I thought Corrie had been pulled (or was pretty close to being pulled) in Australia due to poor ratings.

It was on Channel 9 Perth (Perth affiliate to Channel 9) they put it in a late afternoon slot which got poor ratings, but the thing is most people in Perth watch 7 than 9 for some reason, so I doubt Corrie is to fault.

I think they did but brought it back in a daytime slot?

Just been catching up on last nights episode as I was in Manchester yesterday so missed it. Where the hell was Blanche? She would have been great at the funeral making comments all the way through instead we got one sarcastic comment from Ken!
Kelly going on about Liam is annoying, worst than my other half going on about Paul Connor. I dont blame Liam for preferring Joanne. She seems lovely.

Anyway, I got the following autographs (in person!) outside the Granada studios yesterday;

Johnny Briggs (Mike Baldwin) - he was meeting with someone there and kindly signed autographs and had pictures taken with the fans outside! I knew he was quite short but he only came up to my shoulders when he was stood alongside me!
Sean Gallagher (Paul Connor) - he's gorgeous! Had a photo with him, my other half will be green with envy as he fancies Sean. Laughing
Julia Haworth (Claire Peacock) - she was lovely - she was pleasantly surprised when I called her by her real name and not Claire and she also said my accent was lovely.
William Tarmey (Jack Duckworth)
Vicky Binns (Molly Compton)
Katherine Kelly (Becky Grainger)
Alison King (Carla Connor) - she was also lovely and I was surprised how short she was. I talked to her about Dream Team as ive been a fan of her's for a long time, and asked her how she is finding working on Corrie.

Anthony Cotton also passed us twice but didnt stop for autographs, he had a big coat on with his hood up so people wouldnt recognise him! Bruce Jones passed and someone asked him to sign but he wasnt too happy about it so I didnt bother asking. Some passed in cars and didnt stop like Sue Cleaver and Jane Danson (so she must be back filming already).

guess some of them find it a bit annoying being asked every day, or they were in a hurry.

bet you wish Liam was there Jez.

only met one corry actor once and that was Peter Adamson (Len fairclough) I was only a kid and really excited about meeting somebody off the TV, quite a rarity in the 1970s, I was so giddy he ask my mother if I had learning difficulties Shocked

with than attitude no wonder he ended up a sad and lonley man Mad

I've seen Sally Whittaker, Sean Wilson, Emma Colinge and Thomas Ormson (Sally, Martin, Rosie 1 and David 1) filming on set during one of my visits to the studio tours in 1993. I didn't get a chance to chat as they were filming outside the Websters and I was corralled onto Rosamund street with several hundred tourists.

ITV RE-UNITES TV COUPLE FOR SPECIAL SOAP SERIES

Former soap stars Jeremy Edwards and Terri Dwyer have been reunited to front a brand new series for ITV1 that will reveal the secrets behind Britain’s best-loved soaps.

In Coronation Street Confidential and Emmerdale Confidential Jeremy, 35, and Terri, 32, who played husband and wife Kurt Benson and Ruth Osbourne in Hollyoaks, will go behind-the-scenes on the sets of the two soaps and will uncover the latest twists and turns in the plots, meet new characters and uncover the dressing room secrets of the cast.

The show will be aired everyday for four weeks and will spend two weeks with each soap.

Terri and Jeremy will be revealing exclusive sneak preview clips of up-and-coming storylines and interviewing cast members as well as the behind-camera workers who have seen all the secrets the soaps have to offer.

And they’ll be learning the real on-set tricks-of-the-trade from stunt co-ordinators, extras, make-up artists and animal trainers.

For crying out loud! WHY Terri Dwyer? I just cannot stand the woman, I don't know what it is but I just dislike her amensely.

I can understand how it must be annoying day in day out being asked for autographs. I always ask them if they would mind signing one and if they seem friendly and happy to then I have a chat with them. It was easy to have a conversation with Julia and Alison as they were so friendly. Others you can tell arent that bothered. With Bruce Jones I didnt bother asking him as firstly im not that bothered about him and secondly he wasnt best pleased that this other bloke asked him for an autograph and photo.

Ive met Betty Driver, Tina O Brien plus the ones I met yesterday.

LOL! Well I do like Liam, he is sex on legs, however there was no sign of him Sad However Sean Gallagher is nice too so I cant complain. Smile

Peter Adamson - all I know about him was that he was sacked for selling his story to the press or something. He never worked for Granada ever again. I didnt like Len. (only seen him on Plus repeats and videos) Reet was far better off without him. Her best scenes were always with Mavis and not Len. Very rude of him to say that about you though, even if he thought it was true he didnt need to say it.
