I hope they axe Les. After a decade on the show I think they've done all they can possibly do with the character, and with Cilla on the way out he's not required anymore. I'd also put up a strong case of getting rid of Chesney, but I wouldn't mind him staying with Fiz and her bringing him up herself. I think we need a new family in that house now.

What is your strong case for getting rid of Chesney just out of interest? I think Sam Aston is a good actor, and his character has potential. He works well with Sophie, and would make a good family unit with Fiz and Kirk.
I feel Les as a character is getting tired; when Cilla goes it would be a good excuse to lose him too.
found out about the factory set being in a studio on some remote canadian corry web site where the lucky sods get a studio tour and eveyrthing, they even posted photos

sorry that's not the right one but it has some interesting photos
Funnily enough I was wondering the other day which other countries Corrie is broadcast in these days. I know it's popular in Canada, but does anyone know where else it goes out?

It's quite popular in New Zealand as well broadcasts on TV One (it's been getting Corrie since it first started)
Anyone here feel sorry for Chesney? Cilla lied to the whole street about the cancer scare, she runs off to Orlando, Les has to work overtime to pay Cilla's debt she owes to the Street.
Les feeling tired when he gets in, poor Chesney has to fend for himself and only 12!
It's a tv drama. In reality, Chesney (or the actor who plays him) lives in a huge house and eats well. So, don't worry so much.

Same Aston is good enough I suppose, but I wouldn't say he has the screen presence that the actress who plays Sophie does. I want Kirk to go but you can't have everything, so the family unit with Fiz and Kirk might be a good route to go down. I don't want them in Number 5 though because that house would be better suited to a new family. Perhaps they could move into Charlie's old flat, as I don't think it would work well if Fiz stayed where she was.
I also wondered why Peter and Maria were acting as if they didnt know each other too. I guess the writers have forgotten she was in it long before they left. When Leanne first returned in 2004 it was as if her and Maria hadnt met either yet there were several months between Maria's arrival and Leanne's exit.
Maria joined the show in 2000.
I agree about Number 5 - its disgusting. No excuse for people to live in filth like that these days (and yes I know its not real )
