People may say that this gay storyline is being dragged out and rammed down people's throats but I dont suppose its a storyline that you can gloss over that quickly in just a few episodes and it does infact require these 'extra' episode to adequately relay both sides of the 'coming out' experience.

Im sure for SOME Corrie viewers it will leave a bad taste in their mouths where they may not enjoying this storyline that much, but personally I think it has been VERY well written and the acting has been good aswell.

Its Corrie's first time featuring a gay character and they had to get it right and we, as the viewer, have been there with Todd along the whole journey and now do relate with him!

I totally agree, Corrie has paced this very well from Todd's early feelings to the current fallout. It's a shame Todd will written out soon, maybe they could keep Karl on... he's better looking anyway! Wink

I just read in Soaplife that we are to have another cat fight – this time between Leanne and Maria. Leanne also thumps Nick!

According to someone on Digital Spy Forum's, that on June 6th BBC Four will be showing a 1960's episode of Coronation Street at 7.05pm!

I think I'll set the video.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem...

I hope it isn't a repeat of the first episode, it's been shown too many times.

Well FYI It isn't! It's an episode from 1967 with Elsie's wedding according to BBC Four's site.

Thanks for that! I'll record it...

Interestingly today’s episode on Granada Plus was from Bank Holiday Monday 31st May 1993, exactly 11 years ago. A very good episode IMO, im looking forward to the scenes at the Queen’s now Liz and Jim have taken over. We also had our first appearance of super bitch Tanya, in todays EPISODE.

However, tomorrow Plus is dropping the 5.30pm showing to make way for more Crime shows Rolling Eyes but Corrie will still be shown at 9am, 12noon and 1.30am with an omnibus on Saturday, but lots more people will probably have to video it as its on at inconvenient times, I will have to video either the 9am or 12noon episodes from tomorrow.

Also, has anyone seen a trailer on ITV1 for tonight’s triple episode of Corrie?

I saw the Corrie trailer after the Saturday omnibus, it featured Sarah clutching her stomach, Roy saying "Get an ambulance!" etc.

I enjoyed today's episode very much, I thought it was odd that it was exactly 11 years ago today! Can't believe we saw Zak Dingle in Corrie today! As a barman in the Queens! (Minus the silly accent) It will be good when we will see more of Tanya, I'm glad Neil left it too today, but apparently from what I've seen Angie doesn't have long left either.

This is very annoying, as I usually watch the 5.30pm, I've just been fortunate recently to have been watching the morning showings but when I'm back in college it will be worse, doesn't help when you're in all day, can't be awake all night and I miss most of the omnibus as I'm in work at 10.30am!

Oh no. He's everything I feared he would be, a smarmy cheeky stereotype cockney -almost mockney (does Walsh always sound like Dick Van Dyke? - and isn't he supposed to be a real cockney?).

I tried, I really did try, to forget he's Bradley Walsh, but as with Shane Richie on EE, he's playing himself. And it's a pathetic Neighbours style relative from nowhere popping up out of the blue way to introduce a new character . A very sad day for Corrie IMO.

I think Plus timed it by coincidence but it was nice that it fell on the same day as it was Bank Holiday Monday on Classic Corrie too Laughing

Yes todays episode was great! Angie has a few more months left on the show I think, she is certainly gone by 1994 episodes. One of my fave characters Jenny Bradley (Rita's foster daughter) comes back for a short while later in 1993 too.
