I think Sean should not work in the pub - but only because there's too many staff in there as it is, particularly when you consider there's just Dev in the Corner Shop (thank goodness we rarely see him these days) supposedly running 7 other shops too (I assume the insurance got them all rebuilt), and Reet and Norris working 7 days/week with a Post Office counter too (isn't it about time that was subject to the cuts that are happening elsewhere - they rarely use the Post Office element of the set).

If product placement gets the go ahead they'll probably have to remove it unless the Post Office are willing to pay for them to keep it!

It was stupid to have a post office put there if it was never used.

I was surprised that Eileen was so far up the list as she seems to be underused - apart from the recent storyline with baby Holly

The thing about the said list, is that it does take into account how long the character was on-screen for in each episode. Although Eileen appears in many episodes, she only tends to have short scenes, which may explain why she seems under-used? She is great actress, and she ought to be used more, as others have said.

Perhaps the "unexplained reason" that Antony Cotton is apparently adored by Coro's production, is that viewers adore him? Maybe he gets huge amounts of fan mail via Granada, or a positive response from viewer focus groups Confused ? TBH, most people I know who watch Coro, think that Sean's a lovely character Laughing Or it could be that AC gets on with everyone who works at Coro?

Personally I think Sean is a great character too; I think a lot of his banter and one-liners are very funny-- some of his dialogue is reputedly written by him (he wrote his own sitcom once after all Shocked ). This said, you can have too much of a good thing, no matter how marvellous the character is! Laughing

Well he may be popular among fans but ive never felt the urge to write to him, and I send fan mail to the cast.

Many people have 2 jobs, I used to work in an office 9-5, then in a pub 4 nights a week, it's really not unusual for Sean to work those hours, although it does make it appear as though he is involved in almost every storyline.

But why does Sean have two jobs? Is he bored? Like somebody said, the rent at Eileen's can't be that high, Eileen and Jason manage with one job, and with Eileen's in particular I doubt she gets paid anymore than Sean would if he worked in the factory alone.

Personally I'd like to see him leave the factory and see them establish a nice group in the Rovers. We could have Michelle, Violet, Liz and Sean, and Betty whenever she appears. I don't think it really works at the moment because he's always rushing off to his other job. I don't think it really works with him working in the Rovers and being a 'factory girl'.

Well I can't stand Sean anymore. I used to like him but he's on screen far too much now.

so how many episodes did the youngest cast members get as they are limited to their hours

Sophie - 65 episodes
Chesney - 60 episodes
Josh - 44 episodes
Amy - 40 episodes
Bethany - 32 episodes

Thanks Jez, take it Bethany's 32 episodes are 16 per twin Wink

Josh and Amy have done a lot considering they are the youngest.

I'm not saying you have to send him fan-mail Jez Laughing You know you love him really Wink

How many hours/week are the younger actors limited to, just out of interest?

Not surprised that Josh and Amy have been in more than Bethany - both the Barlows and Peacocks have had major storylines during the year, and Bethany has hardly been seen!

Roger ive nothing against Sean or Anthony Cotton, but I dont really like him - I could never go out with someone like Sean! Wink

There's going to be so much bad luck on the Street....

They've ALL still got their Christmas decorations up! Yesterday (6th Jan) is the 12th Night! At first I thought it might be set on Saturday but they've said it was Sunday - and Ken's doing his Sunday roast!
