I wonder why no mention is made of characters cars when they die, with the exception of Mikes baldwin's car. What happened to Tommy Harris' Cortina for example.
I suppose there's no real reason to do so.... I guess it's not really an important soap-dialogue consideration what happens to the deceased person's car, or any other minutiae of his his/hers will, unless it's pivotal to the story-line
I notice that Doris acknowledged the disappearance of Clurr's glasses, I presume she must wear c-lenses-- don't know about the actress? I don't get the point about the tram-driving ^ Why would wearing glasses permit you from driving a tram-- they correct your vision (perhaps I need to re-read your post)
I think she had her eyes tested as a consequence of failing the eye-test when she applied to tram-driving post IIRC
I have a premonition about David Platt.... I reckon he goes for a joy ride and . That's just a theory I have...

Anyone else disappointed with how Cilla's storyline has played out ?
We've gone from her prognosis being quite bleak, to all of a sudden not being an issue as they "caught it in time", no mention of treatment, or whether it's been removed, I expect it will be forgotten about eventually. In the meantime, Cilla goes back to being this one dimensional farcical comedy character.
It's a shame, because they were starting to see a new dimension to the character. If tackled well, it wouldn't have had to be a miserable Eastenders style storyline, I'd have preferred her to have had a bit of a battle with the disease, but to overcome it.

Yeah I agree, I really thought this would of been a long storyline, instead turned it into another Cilla's tricks.

as far as I know you can't drive a train if you wear glasses, I think she failed the eye test which is what caused her to have to wear glasses in the first place. She seems to have lost them during her hospital stay when she had post natal depression

As for Claire's glasses I can only assume she is wearing contact lenses. I guess the writers thought we could draw our own conclusions about this without it having to be mentioned on screen.
The Cilla storyline is stupid, however im glad she isnt really dying as that would be depressing to watch.

Excellent viewing figures for Corrie. It proves which soap really is the most popular among the viewers.
