What I would like to know is what has happened to the roof spaces. A few years ago when Leanne and Nicky were in bed together Ken Barlow crawled along the loft from above his house and fell through the ceiling onto Leanne and Nicky. So where have the walls and belonging come from?

It's just sprouted walls for the purpose of this storyline.

I think the original story line involved Les getting into Emily's and the Barlow's via the communal lofts and moving things around, such as leaving a porn mag under kens laptop, unraveling Emily's knitting etc.

He was caught by Ken who on chasing him through Emily's loft and into the battersbys fell through the roof onto Leanne and Nicky, quite why Les didn't is an unanswered question

I guess after that the walls were put between numbers 1, 3 and 5.. Of course Les could not access the lofts the other way because that access would have been bricked up when number 7 fell down.

I hazard a guess that the Battersbys do find some belongings of Ivy's and pass it onto David who reads the diarys. Which would not add up because No.5 is a council house which Les rents so they would have cleared it out first before the Battersbys moved in.

I doubt the council would clear the attic - far too much like hard work!

Same here. You know you're in for a good episode when his name pops up.

I hope he writes an episode or two during the festive period.

Jez your spoiler sounds great! The usual "explosive" adjective returns, I wish they'd put it to bed, it underwhelms now.

Cannot wait to see how this pans out anyway.
