I find Coronation Street very entertaining and prefer it over Eastenders, but I won't be watching this week because there are far too many episodes for me to keep up with.

If you think this week is bad then the following week there are 7 episodes. The usual 5 plus an extra 1 at 10pm on the Monday (31st May) and an extra 1 on Friday at 8.30pm (4th June).

Its getting ridiculas now, Emmerdale is also showing 7 this week, but its back down to 6 the following week.

Well Jez I think you will have to agree that even though Emmerdale and Corrie have both increased their number of episodes per week I dont think it has detracted from the programmes and diluted any storylines or the watchability of the programmes!

Unlike Eastenders which, regardless, of episode numbers, is very poor at the moment!

PS did anyone else notice a hearing aid device inside the ear off the non-gay Grimshaw brother?

Hmm... well I think that Corrie Fight Night is going to be good!

Anyway - I've just remembered something from a Corrie ep from 2000, Ken was in the Rovers, and was thinking. A flashback of Annie Walker from the 60's was shown and it showed Ken smiling. Does anyone else remember this?

I think it was to coincide with Corrie's 40th Anniversary.

Im sure it will be good but I’ll never have time to watch Emmerdale and 3 episodes of Corrie.

The episode you refer to was the millennium episode.

Well it all seems very unseemly, all this brawling in the street, but should make for good viewing. Apparently the Gail & Eileen thing comes about after Gail brands Todd a 'two-timing, twisted, lying pervert'. Shocked

Anyway, sorry if these are spoilers but I'm posting them anyway. Let's get ready to rumble :

Oh, and Jez - please tell me that it's not all Eastenders all over the TV mag covers for next week, with all this going on in Corrie. Shocked Rolling Eyes

Im afraid Whats on TV/TV Choice/TV Quick do have EE covers, but what else can we expect from them when they are so EE biased. Rolling Eyes

But the 2 soap mags I get (Soaplife and All About Soap) have Sarah covers, I gave up on Inside Soap in February. Very Happy

Sunday night - end of episode:
"It's not just the church, I can't marry you. I'm gay"
That's torn it!

More fights - yawn! Time for some originality.

What do you suggest then? Nothing like a good fight on a soap.

How about a good old-fashioned row like the old days. Elsie and Ena never punched each other! And even when Len or someone did, it wasn't fights almost every month since Steve and Karen's wedding.

Tonight's episodes were written by Jonathan Harvey who wrote Beautiful Thing... my favourite movie of all time...

Marksi: You really should go to the pictures more often.

As for tonight's tripple whammy... why?

Having just watched the first episode of the triology, I'm left wondering what the point of it was. Sure, Harry found out about Orchid, but re: Todd and Sarah, very little.

It seems they're examining the storyline in microscopic detail, and so it moves at a snail's pace. Very boring.
