I've heard Les sleeps with Yana because he thinks she's having an affair. Oh dear.
Jayne Tunnicliffe knows how to pick them. First Mary Unfaithful (one of Lily Savage's friends), now Yana
She obviously doesn't mind being typecast, she's not like that in real-life
Danny seems to be forgetting than he slept with Jamie's girlfriend and fiddled Mike's will... so he's not exactly beyond cheating and deceiving

Spoiler plasted all over the cover of the TV guides but I'll hide it anyway just in case.
Interesting to see how this story unfolds, whether it will be
although I know that

Well after what Danny did with Leanne, I think Frankie and Jamie are on a par with him now. I cant help having sympathy for Danny even though he is probabaly as bad as they are. Frankie is annoying me now though, i cant wait for her to go. Can she take Jamie as well please?
It was great to have Rita back at long last - the comedy was a nice contrast to the Danny and Jamie scenes, I particularly liked Norris saying "Dont leave me alone with her" and Reet saying she should have stabbed him with the pen, and then chasing him out of the shop saying she was going to kill him - lol.

I completely agree - the worst era of Corrie for me was from the start of 1995 until Brian Park took over in early 1997. I for one could not stand the Don Brennan storylines. Although Brian Park made some major changes to the show most of the axings were for the best and he really made the show excellent viewings. The only downside was that Thelma Barlow who played Mavis quit which meant the end of the Reet and Mave double act. Personally I think Mavis worked a lot better without Derek, some of her best scenes were before they married her off to Derek in 1988, especially the scenes with Reet in the Kavbin.
Talking of Reet she is back tonight!
It was great to see Reet back wasn't it! Some cracking lines I thought.
I'd pushed all the Don Brennan storylines out of my mind - yes they were dreadful weren't they! It was Brian park who got the show back on its fee again yes.

Yes Liam is rather good looking but, does his voice not get on your nerves?

I cant believe Frankie choose Jamie over both Danny and Liam who are (especially Liam) gorgeous.

Reet is Queen of the street!
Brian Park's era was the best period out of the entire decade I think - early 1990s was ok but Mid 1990s quite poor. A lot of people say Corrie's bad patch was from 2001-2002 when Jane MacNaught was producer, however I disagree with this, Mid 1990s was far worse. Jane MacNaught's first year as producer (2000) was excellent with so much happening including Sarah's baby, Mark/Linda/Mike and the Live episode (cant believe that was 6 years ago!) 2001 wasnt as good as 2000 but very watchable, they just went down the EE route of depressing storylines like Toyah's rape, Alma's cancer but it wasnt actually that bad (apart from the Dev and Geena saga!). I'd say Summer 2005 was the worst period of this decade so far.
No because he had a Manc accent and I like it.

"Nirece one". I like Liam's accent too, it's much better than the Estuary English squawking on a certain other "soap" on BBC1
Rita's expression when she realised that the trainers lit up, was priceless. Blanche guilt-tripping Doris was amusing too.
It's nice to have some comedy again-- apart from the darts match Coro has been lacking in it recently.
Sadly the Street's resident bubble-gum-chewer-cum-psycho hasn't got any less irritating with the introduction of boyfriend material.
Incidentally, when is LLoyd going to be properly written out, or have I missed something there (I'm aware of the Criag Charles situation BTW). You would have thought they would have given a reason for Lloyd's absence?

Lloyd is set to return in January. So it wasn't just me who noticed his absence has not been explained and they have erased all traces of his existence - yet he'll be back soon. How will they explain that? Will he just reappear and pretend he was never gone?
BTW, I'm just assuming it wasn't - to clarify - was his absence ever explained or did I miss that episode?
I also agree with you Roger about Becky. She impressed me during her first stint and I couldn't wait for her return but she has disappointed. The actress has suddenly become very OTT and she can be very hard to watch sometimes.
Saw the advert for Corrie and it looks set to be very dramatic on Friday. Can't wait.

LOL - I cant do a Manc accent properly, im made up I can do a scouse one though, its sound!
As for Lloyd well there was no explanation given for his absence. He was one of the better characters introduced last year so I dont mind if he returns. I also dont mind Becky, id prefer her to stay over Vernon anyday.
Ive also seen the advert and it does look good Friday - 6 more episodes of Danny left
