ITV need to stop being so reliant on Corrie. Just because Wednesday's the football, it’s not the end of the world that we get on less 20 odd minute episode of Corrie for one week only.

Its a bit like Bad girls, These 3 episodes this week would have still worked out just fine being on just 1 a week, but no ITV want to fill 2 extra 9pm slots this week so put on a programme that they know will do well. There not really special editions, just a very popular ITV character from another show has come in to liven it all up. It would be a special edition if they all went on a mini bus to Blackpool for a 3 day visit and all escaped from their officers, something like that are special editions in my view.

I wonder what TV will be like in 10 years time? ITV1 schedule consists of Corrie, News, Corrie, Weather, Corrie, ITV Nightscreen, Corrie, etc and Channel 4 with every 30 minute slot being Friends, Good lord, If BBC1 have Eastenders back to back, I might top myself!

I agree, its time ITV stopped relying on soaps. This week we have 7 episodes of Emmerdale. Next week we have 7 episodes of Emmerdale again and 6 of Corrie, that’s equal to 13 episodes of prime time soaps on ITV1, almost 1 hour EVERY DAY. There is absolutely no need to have a double bill of Corrie on the Friday as well as the triple bill on the Monday.

I agree with you comment Bad Girls too, they could have shown the 3 episodes over 3 weeks in its usual Wednesday slot, but probably wanted to finish the series off this week as they have other programs scheduled in the slot next week.

How comes when a character books a table at a restaurant, another character books a table at the same restaurant on the same night? It's like as if they find an empty restaurant and take advantage by having their all of their characters go there. Oddly enought though, nobody ever goes to the same restaurant twice... Of course it's great for a crossover of storylines but in reality, it's a bit shoddy...

That was a new restaurant tonight "The Clock" wasn't it.

Presumably "Delphine's" was fully booked!

Granada Plus are apparently changing their times of screening Classic Coronation Street from June. Episodes will now go out at 1.30am, 9.00am and 12.00noon. Looks like the 5.30pm edition is being ditched for them to begin Crime Plus earlier.

If you look a few pages back I mentioned this, as it was announced that from June Crime Plus would be starting at 2.00pm, which IMO is stupid. It's a shame they're getting rid of the 5.30pm showing as that is the one that I usually watch, due to college hours.

Though 1.30am, not a bad idea, good for Friday night!

Though if ITV3 is going to be taken seriously it looks like there will be no Corrie at all by the end of the year. Sad Though I loved today's episode on Plus with that van being in Derek and Mavis' garden.

Reminds me of a Harry Hill TV Burp p¦ss-take when they had a clip of Kat Slater moaning at someone who just walked into the pub that she didn't like: "Do you have to come 'ere - there are other pubs y'know?", she shouted.

Then the camera switched to Harry with his sarcastic puzzled look: "No there aint".

Yes I know you mentioned it a while ago, I just wanted to mention id heard it was moving to 1.30am.

Granada Plus deny that it is closing and being replaced by ITV3 so Corrie might continue.

But they're always going to "Delphine's", and that un-named Italian restaurant with the red and white gingham table cloths most recently seen at Gail's birthday.

Everytime I hear "Orchid" speak to Fred Elliot, I keep thinking of old "Mystic Meg" from the early days of the "National Lottery". Fully expecting her to say those magic words in her slow delivery speech
"It could be you"!!!!!

Why do they put so much Corrie on anyway? It's over-rated and has been for years.

I find Coronation Street very entertaining and prefer it over Eastenders, but I won't be watching this week because there are far too many episodes for me to keep up with.

Is that a conscious decision i.e you will deliberately be missing the extra episodes as a matter of principle? Or you'll just have better things to do...?
