I thought they were all comedy characters. Rolling Eyes "Bad boy" Charlie is certainly the funniest excuse for a villain I've ever seen.

Apart from half the cast of EastEnders, yep!

Thats a thing, for you a bit of comedy with a villan do you think is better than a down and out nasty villan.

I do. I think Richard Hillman was a great example. He was a serial killer yet there was always that dark comedy with that storyline and character which worked really well. I can't say this storyline is in the same league however.

The music strangely works well with it.

Great Bonfire Night episode tonight, with the usual Platt/Webster bonfire! Great ending with Tracy going red!

they've had platt / webster bonfires since Rosie and David were babies but isn't Sophie's birthday November the 4th?

Noticed the ripped wallpaper round the breakfast bar in Charlies kitchen, Well they will keep leaving Amy to fend for herself

Yep Sophie is November 4th according to Corrie.net, so maybe it was set yesterday as many people habe bonfire parties on Saturday anyway. Or was it mentioned it was Sunday elsewhere in this episode?

Good episode overall tonight though, loved the look on Tracy's face at the end!

Yes the look at the end was done perfectly with a sudden zoom to her face, which to be quite honest frightened me.

Just a small note, that ITV won the 'silver' award at the Promax UK Awards (the awards for promotion and marketing professionals) for it's promo for the wedding of Charlie and Shelley in Coronation Street. Channel 4's Shameless took Gold but I think it's fantastic that this wonderful promo got some recognition.

We're going back some time but it aired last September, and it involved the camera continuously moving between rooms or places on the street as we saw the characters each telling us their views on the wedding while 'The Chapel Of Love' played in the background. The storyline wasn't great but I thought it was a very well produced promo.

Anyway, I'm just boring you know but well done guys.

Not boring I would say Laughing I do remember that promo as it happens, so it must have been effective! Coro do seem to be good at produce attention-grabbing promos.

I enjoyed last night's episodes. The director was new I think and put in some effort.

I especially loved the start of episode 2, with the Manchester skyline for the CORONATION STREET part and then not starting the credits until after first scene. It was very atmospheric.
