Personally I feel people rely too much on spoilers and want to know the finest detail rather than just a vague idea of what will happen. This means that people are always living for the next big storyline rather than enjoying what is on screen

A lot of the best Corrie moments are unknown until they happen in my opinion

I agree about spoilers. It's hard to ignore them though as they're in your face all the time. Every paper you read, every magazine, every forum etc.

I think the best episode of any soap for me this year was the climax to the Sadie/Cain/Tom kidnap storyline in Emmerdale. There were so many twists and turns and I didn't know about any of them. I'm not sure if ITV actually released what had happened (probably not) but it was enjoyable. I wish I could watch more episodes where I didn't know what was going to happen.

Me too. The only soap out of the ones I watch that I manage to avoid most spoilers for is Home and Away which is ironic as Oz are months ahead. However the soap magazine I read seems to have limited coverage of the Oz soaps, infact Corrie and EE get the most coverage, everything else gets much less.

My fave ever episode of Corrie still stands as 13th March 1989 when Alan almost killed Rita. I couldnt wait for the next episode as I had no idea if Reet would live as there were fewer spoilers back then. Mad Maya would probabaly come in 2nd as I had no idea whether she would live or die either!

Interesting spoilers posted. I also sincerely hope the Tracy/Charlie one does not happen; seems a bit over the top?

Another double episode on Friday the 17th...

I'm going to get angry if this Friday double starts to be more permanent... they are cropping up more often now... Evil or Very Mad

I expect its because we have yet another series of "Im a Celeb Get me out of here". I remember they did 8 episodes one week a few years ago when that was on. Be interesting to see if they do a 10pm episode the following Monday again.

Bad new - apparantly Corrie bosses want Reg Holdsworth back - to fill the "comedy" role left by Fred (according to the Daily Star, so it must be false!)

Now, I've never really considered Fred to be one of the comedy characters myself!

No There's no 3rd episode on Monday 20th, and no extra episodes on the Friday 24th or any other time during that week. The only extra one is Friday 17th

I thought they were all comedy characters. Rolling Eyes "Bad boy" Charlie is certainly the funniest excuse for a villain I've ever seen.
