Back to Corrie, i did enjoy the episodes, wonder if OFCOM got any complaints?

Just reading about EastEnders win at the nta awards and saw this-

CORRIE bosses have been bombarded with complaints after Monday’s controversial scenes in which Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) tried to drown David Platt (Jack Shepherd) in the bath.

A Corrie spokeswoman said: “This behaviour was in keeping with Charlie’s character. We didn’t set out to offend.”

Most people more then likely saw the pictures in the papers so why bloody watch it? Rolling Eyes

I read that. People complain about anything these days.

brookside was just total realism with all that drama happening in just 6 house in 23 years.

I lived in a cul-de-sac of 22 houses for 7 years and there was 1 funeral 2 weddings and about 5 houses re occupied in that time. That's realism

Just a quick idea about the opening - assume Craig/Keith is the first scene of the episode. There would obviously be more shots, I just couldn't find any on the internet! You get the idea with the darkness and saturation - they're not too dark but they look more like the titles before the current set.

I like the closing credits idea - Corrie deserves it's own look, not those awful blue bars. I'm easy about the credits over the opening scene, I have a distant memory that they may have actually done that in the past, but obviously never stuck with it. I couldn't say when it was though!

Gross spoiler:
Corrie’s hotpot just got hotter
Cosy Coronation Street is about to be rocked by its sauciest sex scandal ever. Man-mad Tracy Barlow will tell her bullying boyfriend Charlie Stubbs that the only way they can stay together is if she can have sex with factory boss Liam Connor – while he watches.

The subject of swinging has never been touched by any of the big TV soaps, and looks set to be part of the beefing-up of Coronation Street’s twee image following defeat at the National Television Awards earlier this week.

Corrie has already been in hot water from some fans following the repeated ducking of David Platt’s head in a bath by Charlie in an episode this week. Sensitive viewers felt the assault was too violent for their favourite soap.

The steamy swinging storyline is also set to have some Weatherfield fans choking on their hotpot. Viewers will see Tracy (played by Kate Ford) suggest her sex thrills to Charlie (Bill Ward) as part of her plan to murder him. She intends to create a “self-defence” story that she has been mentally and sexually tortured by him.

Tracy tells Charlie: “I have sex with someone else of my own choosing – and you have to be there when I do it.” Charlie agrees to the saucy deal after being turned on at the prospect.

I hope that's not true. And an unnamed suspected troll claims:
Maya Sharma WILL return in 2007 and she will be cauing more trouble than ever before.

if you though her last stint was bad wait until you see what she gets upto this time....with rumours even suggesting she will KILL a character.

Dev wont know what has hit him....literally....the storyline is set to blast him out of the street forever...

and with producers promising to pull out all the stops in the stunt department will Maya finally manage to kill her former lover?

Doubt it's true but posted anyway. And one about Maureen:
Brace yourself for ructions in Coronation Street this Christmas, when actress Sherrie Hewson returns to the show to cause chaos on the cobbles. On Christmas Day, Sherrie’s character Maureen will arrive unexpectedly from Germany - but she doesn’t realise husband Bill has been playing away with faded glamourpuss Audrey (she of the perfect hair and bulging bank account).

Bill and Audrey are stunned when dizzy Maureen bursts in, just as they’re tucking into Christmas dinner with their families – and in the ensuing fracas, all the food is knocked to the floor. A Street insider declared: “It will be a memorable entrance.“ Hmmm... you can say that again.

And there’s more chaos to come, when Maureen claims she’s entitled to the Rovers and the butcher’s shop once owned by her dead ex, Fred Elliott. Pork chops at dawn, anyone?

Good stuff!

Interesting spoilers

Hope the Maya one isnt true though as although I loved her and she was on of my fave Corrie villan I dont think they need to resort to having to bring old characters back like a certain London based soap.

The Maureen one is probaably true as she is returning however she divorced Fred so she is hardly like to be entitled to the Rovers!

The Tracy / Charlie thing sounds awful. Hope it isn't true.

As for Maya. Whatever happened to her trial? Surely they can't bring her back after having ignored that.

Out of interest... does anyone NOT read the spoilers posted? It's getting a bit tedious having to highlight almost everything in this thread. Perhaps just a 'contains spoilers' in the thread sub-heading would suffice?

I think the reason everyone has suddently been posting spoiler tags is because people someone moaned when they didnt.

Im all for a thread with no spoiler tags.

As for this Tracy and Charlie spoiler I agree its ridiculous, cant blame her for fancying a bit of Liam though!

EDIT - ive changed the title now and it says this contains spoilers.

if you press the control key and A you will highlight the whole page and show up all the spoilers, lot less hassle than highlighting each one

Personally I feel people rely too much on spoilers and want to know the finest detail rather than just a vague idea of what will happen. This means that people are always living for the next big storyline rather than enjoying what is on screen

A lot of the best Corrie moments are unknown until they happen in my opinion

I totally agree. Personally I prefer a vague idea of the storylines myself. I once read an episode description on the ITV website before the episode and it totally spoiled the episode for me with a scene by scene description, and ive never done it since.

Now I only read the spoilers in the tv guides so I get some surprises!
