I think passports are valid for 5 years. My current one was issued in April 2002 and expires next April.

So tomorrow is Street Legend Fred Elliot's last living day! Sad Will be a sad occasion, I'm sure.

I hope Corrie push the boat out tomorrow and give him a worthy sendoff. I'm not overly hopeful though, not after Baldwin's whimpery demise.

Well it's certainly been a shock for me. I didn't know he was being written out by death.

It's going to be a tear jerker. Salut

I get the feeling this week could be the week that Corrie gets in early for soap awards episode of the year. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I remember when Fred Elliot first arrived on Coronation Street - didn't he replace Reg Holdsworth and buy out the Corner Shop? Confused

IIRC ... Brendan Scott bought the shop from Reg Holdsworth, and keeled over with a fatal heart attack,

Shortly after that, Fred Elliot took over what had been called (IIRC) "Scott's Emporium".

Neither did I, I thought he would leave after his wedding.

Brendan actually bought the shop from Alf Roberts in 1993. After Brendan's death Alf bought the shop again much to Audrey's horror, but sold up to Reg in 1994.

Fred first arrived in 1994 and got his hands on the shop after he married Maureen in 1997.

does anyone know what that actor John Savident is planning on doing next, and whether he will ever make a return to the screens?

Just seen a trailer for this weeks storyline with Bev and Fred. Called "Devastation Street".

Maybe they should save that for such a time when Dev gets written out. Talking of which, what has happened to him and his pointless daughter ? Is he in danger of getting a storyline soon ?

Surely they would call the trailer "Celebration Street" if he was to leave and his appalling acting came to an end. Saying that he isnt that bad at the moment because he has nothing to do!

Yeah right man, coz what's happened to Amber innit? Like last I heard she was totally back from Finland Rolling Eyes Laughing

As for Dev, his acting consists of saying "OK" all the time-- and raising his voice higher and higher to show he's angry OK? Wink
