Well only 11 of the 19 original characters actually appared in the first episode - they were Elsie, Dennis, Linda, Florrie, Ken, David, Frank, Ida, Annie, Ena and Albert. The rest didnt appear until episode 2 or 3.

Ken has been the only original cast member in the show since 1984 when Annie, Elsie and Albert all left within 6 months of each other.

Just seen a trailer for this weeks storyline with Bev and Fred. Called "Devastation Street".

Maybe they should save that for such a time when Dev gets written out. Talking of which, what has happened to him and his pointless daughter ? Is he in danger of getting a storyline soon ?

Surely they would call the trailer "Celebration Street" if he was to leave and his appalling acting came to an end. Saying that he isnt that bad at the moment because he has nothing to do!

The David Platt 'bullying' storyline is getting boring now. Gail would have had visits from welfare officers and all sorts by now in the real world, and have been fined for not ensuring he is in school.

Plus the two young love birds going to Berlin storyline is ridiculous. Two bright young kids suddenly decide to give up everything and run off to a foreign city where they know nobody and have no money. Totally unbelievable.

I though that, I guess most 15 year olds are aware of pasport control at borders.

Talking of passports does Crag actually have one considering he's not been abroard yet

Well as they are planning a holiday to Paris they would have had to get one anyway. I dont think this storyline is bad, they are 2 kids who want to be together so run away, it happens often in real life. I cant wait to see Sally's reaction though!

Very sad news about Jennifer Moss; Lucille was one of my favourite '60s characters. I always thought there was a chance of a return..

The Bev/Fred/Audrey storyline should be interesting to watch. I'm also quite bored of the truancy storyline - it's just too unrealistic.

Once they reach France there are virtually no borders between the EU nations - it is only this country that is breaking EU law as there should be FREE MOVEMENT (only exception is at airports where the minimal security passenger check is with a driving licence - in other words by EU law you don't need a passport to travel between EU nations).

How difficult is it to get a passport in this country? - not at all (well not for much longer anyway - before US Homeland Security takes over the procedures!!!!! Laughing - when the procedures come into effect). Just need to go to Liverpool (at this moment in time), queue and leave with passport on the same day.

How do we know Crag hasn't been abroad yet?

I guessed. Embarassed

well he hasn't been in the last 4 years, since he's been in the programme, and he'd have to have been in the last decade to have a valid passport. So there is a 6 year gap when he could have gone abroad
