Audrey looks like she has a new house. I don't remember it being like that when we had the Alma's death or Hillman storyline.

It used to be a studio set, this appears to be a real house.

It was a real house, it also seems to have acquired the internal wall between the front and back rooms, when it was a studio set it was open plan with the dining room at the front

when deirdre sneaked out for a crafty fag in friday's episode i was imagining a bucket of water to come over her from the upstairs window.

I presume this is the start of a storyline with Audrey moving house? Now they seem to have disposed of the Audrey's house set

It looks like a different house completely.

It's good that they are giving Audrey a storyline.

'Dream Team' actress joins Corrie cast

Former Dream Team babe Alison King has joined the cast of Britain's most famous street.

The 33-year-old actress – who played Linda Block in the now-axed Sky One football drama – is to appear on the Cobbles as Carla Connor, wife of Paul Connor (Sean Gallagher).

Of the new signing, a Coronation Street spokeswoman said: "She will make quite an impact. The phrase ‘dosh doesn’t make you posh’ was made for Carla. She’s a WAG on the cobbles, beautiful, but tough and ambitious.

"She has designs on launching her own range of kids’ clothing and sees her hubby’s investment in Underworld as a way of getting her business off the ground, introducing a new level of gritty intrigue and spice to the factory."

Coincidentally, Alison has appeared in Corrie on two other occasions – two years ago as a love interest of Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) and previously in 1982 as a child. Her other connection with the ITV soap is that she is the ex-girlfriend of Phil Middlemiss, who played Des Barnes in the soap between 1990 and 1998.

Alison starts filming mid-October and will be on-screen from the beginning of December.

Sounds good - She is my favourite in Dream Team and I think she will be good in Corrie. I remember when she was in it as a married woman who Jason slept with (think he was with Candice at the time) however I didnt realise she was in it as a child in 1982!

With Frankie and Tracy both due to leave the show we need some strong female characters to replace them.

With regard to tonights episodes - do they expect us to believe that Bev would tell Deirdre about Shelley being pregnant to Charlie? OK so they wrote the script so she was upset and didnt think but it didnt ring true. Its all a bit too convenient isnt it. However I cant be too harsh on them since Shelley is only there for a week and they need Tracey to find out before Shelley goes.

Looks like the story will be a romance between Audrey and Kevin Webster's dad Bill.
Meanwhile, Bradley Walsh has won Best Soap Actor at the Inside Soap awards tonight.

When you get a bit older you momentarily forget little details. Trust me.

I blurted out, "Oh no!" when Deirdre said, "our Tracy's Charlie?" - at the same time Bev did. Laughing

I think the fact EastEnders has won "Best soap" for the last 10 years shows how credible those awards are!

Yes I totally agree, it would be an insult for Corrie to be given a Best Soap award from a magazine that is so obviously biased towards Eastenders. While I always hope Corrie win at most awards with these ones I hope they dont!

Maybe but to me these awards are meaningless. Not like the BAFTA's or NTA.
