Corrie tonight was fairly good - Cilla pretending to cry was funny, she's such a c-o-w isn't she? Laughing

I enjoyed tonight's, probably the best one they've had for some time, does this mean that Cilla is out of it for good now? In a way I hope not as she is fantastic. But you have to feel sorry for poor Chesney and Schmichael.

Didn't somebody post an article on here quoting it as saying that she's to become a prostitute or something?

I remember the one you mean, I thought it was the storyline they introduced when we first heard of Uncle Ronnie, as apparently she was doing that to pay off Fiz's Credit Card bill.

I'm confused on that prostitute storyline thing, anyway... Yes, I do feel sorry for Chesney and Schmichael, I'll be glad when they get taken back in by Les.

Lots of good comedy scenes last night in Corrie I thought:

Arrow Norris and Schmeichel, especially when the dog was pawing his face as he took him out of the Kabin

Arrow Fred being teased about getting the Internet (the irony that Corrie is doing this as a storyline while on EastEnders...) and some great one liners by Betty in the Rovers

I really want wee Sam Aston to get the Best Young Actor award at the Soap Awards now Smile

He has to, he is a talented actor, and you don't get many talented young actors today, like Rosie?????? She can't act on Coronation Street let alone pass an audition for the northen academy of bla bla bla!

I don't really like this whole idea of introducing never-before mentioned relatives as a way of bringing in new characters. It all seems very Neighbours to me.

Are we going to get an explanation of why Mike has never made reference to these relations, or why they've never been to any of his weddings, family funerals, etc...?

This should be good! I like most of his films (50's/60's) and this cameo would be funny indeed.

I enjoyed tonight's episode very much, I especially loved the Karaoke by Jack and Vera, that was very funny indeed. A bit cheesy with Nick and Maria, but overall, very good tonight.

Yep another first class episode I thought tonight, with some good comedy in there. One of the reasons it works so well is they've got the balance of young characters mixing with the older ones just right, and this was evident tonight with Jack & Vera and Audrey at the party.

One minor point but Candice's Tim "Nice But Dim" is fast out ranking Nick Tilsley as the worst character, he's just so annoying.

Jack and Vera at the party was funny! I don’t mind Tim, he is OK, he wont be in it for long anyway I don’t think.

The character I really hate at the moment is Karl. The sooner that smug smile is wiped from his face the better, he is manipulative, slimy, scheming and sly, and he thinks he’s god’s gift, sadly he is mistaken, he isn’t even good looking. The storyline is going around in circles and is getting repetitive and boring now. Karl is the only character on the show that annoys me more than Todd Grimshaw and Nick Tilsley.
Im glad Bruno has quit as it means they wont be able to drag this storyline on any longer than October.
