Corrie got 10 million lastnight so well done think thats the second time a soap has got it this year

Second time? Corrie and EE were getting 10 million regularly early on in the year. Of course the ratings have dipped during the summer months, so for Corrie to get what it got last night is admirable.

Not surprised in this weather. Apparently the temperatures at the moment are the average for late October.

Was it my imagination, or was the toilet set seen last night was the same as the one used for the Rovers recently (except with a few urinals added in)? In fact I'm sure Jason escaped through the same cubicle as Tracy was in when she overheard Shelley talking to Bev.

Thank you for metioning that. Thought I was going mad. It really does show just how lazy the production team can be. It was so obvious it was the same set.

I'm sure it wasn't that obvious to most of the viewers. Alot of people probably wouldn't notice something like that. And, it's not exactly lazy, just cost effective.

Indeed, and i doubt many people noticed, I certainly didnt.

Anyway well done Corrie for getting 10 million.

Well that would explain it. Still a massive gap between Corrie and EastEnders.

Total rubbish, between January & April ratings were between 10-12m regularly.

Don't act like that.

Regarding the wedding, I honestly thought that Sarah and Jason would go through with it; it seems that a soap wedding nowadays is not complete without a load of upset.

The thing i don't get about this particular "run out of wedding" story is that unlike the usual story, there was no indication in Jasons acting (that i saw) that he was having second thoughts. Even when Charlie said "Are you going to run out?" he was determined and said no. So i didn't find him leaving like that terribly convincing.

Maybe Charlie had him lifted involuntarily off the toilet by a huge mechanised hand controlled from outside from a forklift truck, all so he could take Maria to the honeymoon suite?

Or, um, not...

Actually, what I really think is that Jason saw Eileen and realised he had an Oedipus complex, and just couldn't move away from his Mum.

Are we really going to credit Corrie writers with such intelligence as to write a script like that Surprised Laughing

Why not? That "reading a poem is like peeling an onion" exchange last month, with the RS Thomas poem about the cat, was absolute genius!

I think seeing Eileen made him realise that he was doing the wrong thing.
