That's what I said to my (not very interested) friend as we were watching. It was definately the same set with a lick of blue paint.
It was odd becuase it really looked like they were still on location, but the layout to the ladies at the Rovers was identical.

Was it my imagination, or was the toilet set seen last night was the same as the one used for the Rovers recently (except with a few urinals added in)? In fact I'm sure Jason escaped through the same cubicle as Tracy was in when she overheard Shelley talking to Bev.

Perhaps they adjusted the lighting to make it look more like location so it matched. It can be done quite effectively, as anyone who's seen the Linton Travel Tavern scenes from I'm Alan Partridge will know.

Also laughed at the "comedy barnet" line, and enjoyed the Gail/Eileen odd couple action. And yes, Charlie's hip-hugging and lip-smacking are intensely annoying - it's not just you, Roger.
Maybe a disappointing ending, but good viewing last night.
And what's ahead in that spoiler sounds interesting...

Is it me, or has Charlie's habit of slapping his hips with his hands (everytime he enters a scene recently) started to become annoying?
I hate it when he "POPS
:" just before hes about to speak thats highly annoying i remember he did it a few months back and you could hear the sound effects.

Thank you for metioning that. Thought I was going mad. It really does show just how lazy the production team can be. It was so obvious it was the same set.

I'm sure it wasn't that obvious to most of the viewers. Alot of people probably wouldn't notice something like that. And, it's not exactly lazy, just cost effective.

Indeed it would be foolish to build a new set for a 2 minute scene. It could have been better disguised though.

Second time? Corrie and EE were getting 10 million regularly early on in the year. Of course the ratings have dipped during the summer months, so for Corrie to get what it got last night is admirable.
