What is the current ownership of the factory, surely Danny will still own some of it, even if Adam get's Mike's share?

I think Danny owned 49% of it and Mike 51%, however im not sure if thats exactly correct but something like that. Therefore if Adam was to get the share Mike owned he would be the majority shareholder.

However we know from the spoilers that Danny offers Adam a small share in it

I thought it was a 50:50 share.

No I'm sure it was a 49 / 51% share as well

So am I; in fact didn't Danny complain to Mike that it was unfair that he had to buy his share whilst that Adam would inherit his and also Mike said that he would 'sort' the majority shareholder issue but he didn't say how!

Teletext are reporting that...

Steve will buy the Rovers off Fred next month and his mum will become landlady!

It's the safe boring option IMO and a real shame it wasn't used as an opportunity to bring in new blood!

Anyone out there with long memories? I have vague recollections of a time (in the very early 60s) when a few episodes of Coronation Street had different theme music. It was swiftly changed back to the one we know and love because of a public outcry. Is my mind playing tricks?

You'd be best off asking Granada. The majority of us here wouldn't have even been born at the time.

I disagree, I think it's good for the show to have an established character take over rather than a total newcomer and Liz is a return to the tradition of brassy Weatherfield landladies. I hope she wears a leopard skin print top.

It's the Fred / Shelley years I feel have failed to make much of an impression.

From what ive seen of the 1960s and 1970s there were definately some vaiations to the current theme tune on some episodes, but ive never seen an episode with a completely different theme tune. Mind you ive seen very little episodes from the 1960s.

I agree, id much prefer Liz became the new landlady then they brought someone new in.

If that Teletext story is to be believed, then maybe we'll finally see the Rovers Return getting a much needed makeover.

Any pub in real life that kept the same wallpaper and seating for twenty years would look like an absolute dive by now!
The upholstery on the seating would be almost totally worn out and full of cigarette burns, and the wallpaper would
have most likely become darkened beyond recognition, with two decades worth of nicotine staining!

Thankfully, that's something we won't have to bother about from next year.
