It's got nothing to do with the gay storyline and I don't blame any young actor for wanting to expand their acting skills.

Bruno has known for ages about the gay storyline, and if he had a problem with it he would have spoken up to the writers then. It's just acting people, it's not real. It's easy to differentiate between an actor and a character for goodness sake. Rolling Eyes

Good news is he's not leaving til October, which means 6 more months of this storyline onscreen, plenty of time. Very Happy

Acting in a soap can be the kiss of death for an actor (especially young ones) who want to go on to other things.

Its certainly true that its, "just acting", but even casting directors can be reluctant to put well known soap stars into other things. Its baggage that they don't always want attached to new projects.

And you needn't roll your eyes. Some people here do know what they are talking about. Well okay, I do anyway.

I have some bad news for Classic Corrie fans, it looks like from June that Plus will be starting Crime Plus at 2pm! Meaning that the teatime showing of Corrie will have to be sacrificed, which is annoying as that is when I usually watch it. Evil or Very Mad

What happened at the end of Corrie? No anno although the volume did momentarily go down and a brief appearance of a "sorry for the loss of sound" message?

Bizaare end to the programme... in the Central region, while Todd and Sarah talked, the picture faded to black and back up again, and then in the credits the sound dipped, no announcement came, and the level went back up again.

And notice the mistake with the loss of sound caption... "Were sorry for the loss...." rather than the grammatically correct "We're sorry..."

Tut tut!! Very Happy

Well Wales had their own anno with Sue at the end of tonight's programme, promoting the line-up ahead including the regional programme.

Does that mean it worked for Wales and not for network? Surely a first.

It seems like if ITV1 has a technical problem, There is no announcer Surprised

Before ITV rebranded if there was a technical problem, there was always a announcer to intervine.
