Corrie is going through a bad patch. It's the first time I've ever known both of the big soaps be really **** at the same time. When one has been up the other has been down, right now both are down and just shadow's of their former self's.

As for Sean. He is over-exposed, he's good at the lighter stuff but can't handle the serious stuff.

I was glad I recorded all the episodes from last week while I was on me hols. I got through them in record time - once I'd cut out the adverts, the Streetcars story, the David/Gail bits (please can we have a few weeks without the Platts in it - especially since the cards plot was such a let down?), and I too am getting tired of the over-exposed Shaun. It was also a mistake to bring Janice back - she adds nothing.

It looks like there's going to be a Shelly/Charlie Part 2 now too Rolling Eyes And the dreadful dragging Ashley / Josh story - I couldn't give a toss about them - the Peacocks should go ASAP after Fred.

I hate to be on such a downer about it, but it really is poor at the moment I think.

Predictable stuff there "I hope it doesn't get any worse with all the people leaving", yes you do, you'd love it

No i wouldn't,Ok i'm not the greatest Corrie fan but if its good i will sometimes (Not always) praise it,But i do get angry when other soaps seem to get the bucket load of stick.

I'm an honest guy.

I disagree, I dont think its going through a bad patch, its a lot better than it was last summer when it was quite poor for about 6-8 weeks.

I liked last nights double episode, i liked Shelly for the first time in ages when she was concerned about Amy being left alone, its typical of Tracey to be so selfish.

I agree about the Peacocks though, this storyline is dragging on and on and it boring now, however it will probabaly come to an end soon when Claire has her baby.

You're right there; it's just "gone off a bit" this year (so far) compared to the pantomime of last summer!

Granted, it's certainly not as bad as it was last summer, but it isn't exactly 'Must See TV' at the moment. I agree with whoever said Sean is overexposed. I'm just sick of him. Anthony Cotton isn't the best actor in the world and he doesn't deserve to be the star of the show, which he seems to be at the moment, when there are far more able actors who could be carrying a storyline like this.

He needs to take a break off our screens. Sean used to be on of my favourite characters but is rapidly going down in my estimations. Not a bad patch as such, because last week we had some fantastic episodes, just not as good as it really should be.

Yes i agree about Sean as well. He's irritating when he is on screen too much, however in fairness the storyline he has been given is good and i thought his performance was satisfactory. He certainly isnt the star of the show - thats Tracy Barlow or Sarah Platt surely, the amount they are on screen!

With regard to the Peacocks, i read in a magazine a while back, and this is a spoiler coming up , that Ashley and Claire's baby will have a link to Matt - so i wouldnt be at all surprised if somehow he is the Doctor that ends up delivering the baby or something. Bet that would go down well with Ashley.

No, I disagree. Sean is being shoved in our faces every episode and it's getting incredibly tiresome. The producers adore him, god knows why, because they out him forward for every Best Actor award going. Sarah doesn't get as much screen time as him, and Tracy, well she isn't as annoying so I can let that one go,

Tonight's episode was better - I enjoyed the final scenes with Tracey turning on Charlie, and then Tracey going for Shelly over the bar! It's also good to see another side to Leanne (and I don't mean the bump they're trying to hide!).

i enjoyed tonights too - when Tracy went for Shelley across the bar that was funny. I also liked the scenes with Joanne and Adam - i think they would make a good couple.

Tonights episode was good, many people have said Joanne is a bad actress, but tonight she was good - shes not leaving/been axed has she?

joanne isnt leaving as far as i know - I agree she is good, she has improved so much since her twin Jessie left. The character is also likeable and i hope she gets a bigger part in the show.
