Last time I was in Ireland, everything was the same. The scheduling of the episodes, including the Monday double, and the end credits. Obviously it would have the ITV Productions end-cap as they make the show.

Not so "obviously", the show is made by Granada Television but branded as ITV Productions in the UK (and ROI it appears). But when Granada programmes appear on other channels (e.g. Countdown on C4), the Granada G logo is used instead, and I understand Granada's ITV programmes also use the G logo when shown abroad. I wonder what the Aussies are seeing at the end of Corrie?

Ahh right, yes, I forgot.

I think she will leave this time. I personally feel as though the character of Tracy has been used to its fullest potential. I think keeping her on would be a mistake. She should get one final explosive storyline - the downfall of Tracy!

I think Tracys leaving due to the plans to cut cast wages(Below),It seems to me she wants more money and shes trying the good old press routine again but i don't think its gonna work this time.

Coronation Street stars are furious at plans to cut their wages.

Show bosses are reportedly set to cut back on their wage bills, with Granada suffering from falling advertising income.

It seems that each cast member would lose 26,000 from their current salaries from next year.

One source told The News of the World: "There's a lot of discontent. They're on high wages but they work very, very hard to bring out five episodes a week."

The higher earners in the cast reportedly bring in around 260,000, with younger stars on around 90,000.

News of the World said;

Top earners Barbara Knox, alias shop boss Rita Sullivan, and Bill Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, would plunge from £260,000 a year to £234,0000.

Sally Whittaker, aka Sally Webster, and Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts) would dive from £198,000 to £172,000.

Younger stars such as Tina O'Brien (Sarah Louise Platt) and Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow) would fall from £98,000 a year to £72,000.

-------------------------

They are all overpaid. Barbara K is supposed to do between 70-80 episodes a year so thats something like £3200 an episode based on that salary.

maybe they will spend some money on better continuity, in mondays episode when brian gave sean the watch it read 10:40 yet the scene was meant to be early evening.

You would think if they are going to film a time piece they would make sure it was set at the time of the scene not the time when the scene was recorded

I know it's summer but it was a bit bright to be 10:40pm

Last night's episode was little more than a filler. Sunday's episode was the best in a long while, shame they couldn't keep it up. Whilst I can understand them keeping the big stories for the Autumn though, there isn't really anything that makes me want to tune in.

I'll continue to watch though, loyal viewer and all that jazz, but it's not that great at the moment. Having said that, it's the only soap I watch now, so it must be doing something right.

The problem with filming so many episodes is the writing sometimes gets a bit sloppy - e.g. that 10.40pm on the watch when it was daylight outside. In the old days although it was 2 episodes a week and there were lots of fluffed lines and filming equipment seen in view because they didnt have the budget to do endless takes so mistakes got left in, but the writing was much better and more consistent.

The show isnt anywhere near as bad as it was last summer when it went through a major lull for about 6 weeks. Looking ahead at the next fortnight we have some good storylines coming up. I would just suggest they should reduce the amount of episodes during the summer months but of course they go and do the exact opposite by showing 8 next week! Corrie is the only one of the "big 3" soaps I currently watch.

Its all difficult to have much enthusiasm for the likes of Diggory who leaves for 6 months then comes back but does sod all. A pointless character.

Its been nice to have a few days break from Corrie, and its back tonight with a double episode, the first 2 episodes of 8 this week! Next week as it stands at the moment there are 4 episodes (Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri) but this is subject to change due to the World Cup.

Some Summer spoilers from Soaplife (some of these may have been mentioned before)

Shelley is about to get up close with Charlie again and the fallout will be huge with Shelley leaving the Street for good, and Tracy could well find herself back living with her mother. Before the summer's out Charlie will have a new kept mistress (Maria????)

While Ashley is so proccupied with Josh he fails to notice that Claire is not herself and his new baby could be heading for tragedy

Leanne tells Danny about Mike's will and if he isnt going to share everything with her he's not keeping it at all!

With an August wedding planned Sarah's confident that she has got Jason at last. But does he really want to be got?

Craig will stay with Rosie and not move away with Keith ( for now!)

Kym Marsh is returning as Michelle, this time with her 14 year old son and two sexy brothers in tow!

Thank god Shelly is going. Also about time we got some sexy men in Corrie - i like Adam and Jason (and of course Danny Smile ) but we need some men in their late 20s/30s.

Looks like Craig Charles is in seriously hot water again...

Mirror article

The incriminating photos are in the paper only. Rather shocking they are too... and I'm not usually easily shocked.

It's been reported he's been called to a meeting at Granada this morning. Could this be the end of Lloyd?
