You always know you're in for a treat when the name Jonathan Harvey appears on the titles. Last night provided a great mix of drama and humour.

I loved the way Sean's coming out was very funny, but yet really rather touching at the same time. Just great writing.

Yes when I saw his name on the credits I knew we were in for a good episode. Jonathan Harvey is a brilliant writer, better than Daran Little.

Jonathan is also writing both episodes on Monday as well, so they should be good, I look forward to them.

Sean was getting seriously maudlin, then he said: "We used have an ironing-board, we used as a table. It wasn't a statement or anything-- we were skint" Laughing Laughing Brilliant!!

Toxic Tracy Quits
Corrie Bombshell
Exclusive
by Matthew Acton

Soap Babe Kate Ford has stunned Corrie bosses by quitting, The News of the World can reveal.

The popular actress, who plays superbitch Toxic Tracy Barlow, will leave The Street when her contract runs out.

But desperate execs at Granada are putting together a mega-money deal to keep Kate, 28.

Last night a source revealed: "She was due to leave this year but was tempted by the promise of blockbuster storylines with lover Charlie Stubbs.

"The scriptwriters haven't disappointed but she's determined to go this time."

Now bosses, already facing the departures of Bradley Walsh (Danny Baldwin), Debra Stephenson (Frankie) and Richard Fleeshman (Craig) are hoping to woo her with a salary of over £100,000 a year.

A Corrie spokesman said: "Kate is under contract until the spring."

Well regarding the Kate Ford article - how many times have we been here before? Her saying she is quitting, or rather the press saying she is quitting, and then signing a new contract. I'll believe it when I see it.

This one seems to be true Jez,I thought the same when i saw it in the paper...

Actress Kate Ford - Corrie's superbitch Tracy Barlow - has threatened to leave the soap for a second year running.

Kate, 28, decided to to leave Weatherfield last year but show executives lured her back with the promise of jucier storylines.

According to the News of the World, Kate has again insisted that she will bow out next year when her contract expires.

Her future with the Street is, however, still uncertain as producers are reportedly creating a lucrative pay packet in a bid to keep her.

A Corrie spokesman told DS: "Kate is contracted until next Spring so she's with us for the foreseeable future."

If Kate carries out her threat she will join a long list of principle characters who will disappear from Britain's most famous Street over the next year. Others who have indicated that they will be waving goodbye include: Bradley Walsh (Danny Baldwin), Debra Stephenson (Frankie Baldwin), Richard Fleeshman (Craig Harris), Ray Fearon (Nathan Cooper), Susie Blake (Bev Unwin), Ian Redford (Keith), Eric Potts (Diggory Compton), Emma Stansfield (Ronnie Clayton), Sally Lindsay (Shelley Unwin), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) and John Savident (Fred Elliot).

Some, however, have indicated they are simply taking a break and expect to return to the soap at a later date.

bearing in mind they leaked the mike baldwin leaving story, then denied it, then leaked him being killed off then denied that as well, i'm with jez on this one and will wait and see what happens.

Well the majority of those people listed as leaving we knew about anyway. And as far as i know Jane Danson is only going on maturnity leave and Bradley Walsh is taking a break to work on other shows.

I think she will leave this time. I personally feel as though the character of Tracy has been used to its fullest potential. I think keeping her on would be a mistake. She should get one final explosive storyline - the downfall of Tracy!

Why wasn't Corrie an hour long tonight? Noone would miss tonight with Trevor McDonald? With a none Dull match on itv1 you could lose ratings
DA

They could potentially lose viewers to both the match and Deal or no Deal. Don't know why they didn't just join them together.
