This is what happens when a broadcaster (in this case ITV) puts the programme on more than 3 times a week. Becomes very weak and very unappealing. No longer event television but just plain older cannon-fodder gets advertising revenue television.

Yes i know,Itvs Milking Corrie so much its killing it,Emmerdale will be next

Who the hell is Dek anyway ? It's just one persons opinions, so what ? We're all entitled to those, it's not gospel.

It's laughable how you trawl the internet looking for articles that spin a positive light on your soap of preference whilst littering this thread with anything remotely negative you can find.

Get over it dear.

The Daily Star Sunday (not the most reliable of sources) is reporting today that Bradley Walsh has quit Corrie and is getting his own Saturday night entertainment/talk show on ITV!.

I hope it isnt true.

Oh no. He'd be awful on a Saturday night show; a teatime/daytime thing perhaps, but not a Saturday night.

Id definately watch a show if he was on it, but I want him to stay in Corrie too!

I thought the truth was that Bradley has signed to do a tea-time chat show filmed live from Manchester where he has just signed an extnded contract to stay with Coronation Street, so that he can commit to both programmes

Well that was reported a while ago but now its been reported that he is quitting Corrie so I guess until something official is announced its difficult to know what to believe.

I love the sub title of your EE thread - Laughing Britain's best loved soap? According to the viewing figures its not. Wink

Why are ITV2 only showing Friday's episode today? I thought I'd be able to catch up on last night's before tonight's episodes Rolling Eyes

Did anything particularly interesting happen in last night's show?

I think its because ITV2 show Corrie repeats in a Monday-Friday slot its not possible to show them the day after they have been shown on ITV1 as they would have to show them Saturday, Monday, Tuesday (1 hour) and Thursday because of the way the episodes are broadcast on ITV1 - if you see what I mean.

Um, nothing that interesting happened last night - I felt it was more of a filler episode really. Tracy wanted her family to babysit Amy so she could go out with Charlie but they wouldnt so she had a strop and then Steve agreed to babysit only for Charlie to go out without her. Hayley wanted Amber to live with her and Roy but in the end Dev agreed for her to live with him. Jason wanted Sarah to tell him who had sent the cards but she wouldnt. You didnt miss much really!

Thanks Jez Very Happy Sounds a very odd episode! I was out at Birmingham Pride all day yesterday lots longer than I thought I'd be... So I even missed the ITV 2 late-night repeat. I thought the 9.25 ITV2 showing would be good hangover telly - which is probably why I only realised it was Friday's episode 10 mins in to it Laughing

Classic Blanche moment tonight:

Tracy (trying to get Blanche and Deirdre to Amy-sit) - Well, it's not like you're doing anything - you never are!

Blanche - They're starting windsurfing lessons at the reservoir. We thought we'd give it a try.

Genius. Sheer genius.

According to the Radio Times; 'Leanne's hard heart will be broken this autumn, because Danny will leave the soap for good in October. "Then I start work on two projects," says Walsh, "a daily 5pm light entertainment show for ITV, and a drama series, but I don't know what it will be. I've just signed a new 18-mont contract with ITV; if you love your job and they pay enough, you can't get better than that."'

So it looks like he is going. The new RT is out tomorrow so you won't be able to buy it to read this but if you have got this week's issue, it's on page 92 in the centre bottom of the page.

Good episodes tonight, I enjoyed the Charlie-Keith confrontations. Oh - and a semi-look through the viaduct on Rosamund Street - that picture of the street plastered on the wall (which seems to be surrounded by heavy foliage) does not work. It makes it look like the set goes uphill!

With reference to corrie.net, who the hell updates it. Credit to them for editing the synopsis weekly, but the media snippet sections and the home page haven't been changed since last August. I hate going on to that site and seeing "There's a new Baldwin on the street" and "Diggory gets a daughter". Sorry to whoever it is, but I had to get that one off my chest.
