What did everyone think of tonights episodes? I really enjoyed the storyline with Kelly. Im glad Joanne and Lloyd know what Becky is up to. I was bored with the whole thing with Claire though - who the hell cares if she goes on maturnity leave or not! The whole thing was a filler storyline. Rita, Emily and Norris continue to be amusing. 2 good episodes overall tonight.

I didn't used to like Legs when she first started, she's a good character now though, as is JoJo.

Is that the last we've seen of Becky "Hiya"?

Now what did you think of tonight's episodes, that last scene with Gail was good

Rita dashing about as she realised that Norris was back was the most active she's been in years!

I didnt used to like Crabby either but she is really good now. I also like Joanne - I think she is much better since they got rid of twin sister Jessie.

Rumour has it Becky is coming back to the show and her family will also be introduced!

LOL - I laughed so much at Reet running to hide in the cupboard. Reet has been in 54 episodes so far this year compaired to 32 at the same point last year. She did 73 episodes in total last year, the rate she is going she will reach that by the middle of this year.

In that scene where Norris and his girlfriend were discussing someone not replying to fanmail I hope Barbara was listening to that! Smile

It's funny for a 6 year old you never seem to see or hear them. Having experience if my cousins children at that age, I can say it is certinally not the case.

and since when did steve smoke?

I find that storyline funny that they are all moaning at not being allowed to smoke in the office. It will be illegal next year any way (something that's already been referenced in the show), so why not just get used to it now? In reference to the question, I did see Steve smoke- once, in 1989 when him & Andy had nicked his dad's cigars & booze, just before thes crashed a JCB through Alf's shop window.

I thought that was very funny as well. They seem to have got the balance between humour and drama back at the right level again.

I also enjoyed the scenes with the Platts, and didn't mind the odd camera shots and sound effects. For some reason normal Corrie conventions seem to be broken for the Platts. Remember the incidental music when Sarah was rescued from the Paedo?

Also, top marks to Kevin for producing such a large meal from such a tiny frying pan. Laughing

notice nobody ate it though, even if craig did think it looked lovely

yes bethany is very inconspicuous for a six year old,

i work in a school with year one, and believe me 29 six year olds are anything but inconspicuous

The TV Times is reporting that Reet and Norris are up for Best On Screen Partnership at the next weeks soap awards. I hope they win, even though Norris and Reet will never be as good as Reet and Mavis were. I wonder if this means that Barbara might attend the soap awards? Malcolm Hebden will since he always attends these things, so I half expect him to collect the award if they win.

I like the way they've deepened their friendship recently, it's good to see another side to Norris too; I think it's an interesting plot to cover, older people have love-life problems as well as the teens (who often seem too young to be having such problems!).

I thought Sally's behaviour at the meal was shocking. I thought she'd warmed to Craig a little recently, and I can't believe she would be so rude about the bottle of wine - in fact I thought Sally was the sort of person who'd think it posh to have wine with an evening meal (tea) and would have welcomed it!

I enjoyed Steve's singing in the cab office - he can do comedy well and it's been largely missing from his character for some time. But I do think it's time to call time on Ashley and Claire, they're just not going anywhere.

I thought that about Sally too - I thought she would be pleased to have a glass of wine with their meal. She probabaly disapproved because he is underage though.

I agree about Claire and Ashley - all Claire does is moan. Time they got rid.

Claire is a good character. It's just unfortunate that she was part of a "filler" storyline over the past couple of days.

Is it just me, who liked the "heartbeat" sound effects, when Gail was suspicous of David. And it was funny, the way Rita hid in the cupboard. Laughing

i like steve's dancing as well, from what i've heared simon gregson is a bit of a comic and judging by his appearance on laughter file on saturday i can see why

i think he provides a bit of comic relief on set.

Sally Lyndsay was on "This Morning" earlier saying she is filming her final scenes soon and she will leave the show in July. There was some discussion about who will get the Rovers with Shelly, Bev and Fred all leaving, but she doesnt know yet. She seems to think it might be someone older though this time as Shelly was the youngest landlady/manager.

She is also nominated for Best Actress at the soap awards, and Shelly and Charlie's wedding is up for Best Episode. Phil and Fern also mentioned that Tracy and Charlie are up for on screen partnership so will go head to head with Reet and Norris!
