Teletext is reporting that Debra Stephenson who plays Frankie is leaving at the end of the year. She has been in the show for 2 years.

It's a shame - but they should never have split her and Danny up as she's been little more than a spare part this past few months. I think she's also had some appalling lines, and her acting has gone off the boil too I think.

I was hoping she would get back together with Danny but I guess thats not going to happen now. Danny will never change so I suppose she would be better off moving back down South or something anyway so I suppose its realistic that she would want to leave. I just hope she doesnt leave with Nathan, they dont work together as a couple IMO.

What did everyone think of tonights episodes? I really enjoyed the storyline with Kelly. Im glad Joanne and Lloyd know what Becky is up to. I was bored with the whole thing with Claire though - who the hell cares if she goes on maturnity leave or not! The whole thing was a filler storyline. Rita, Emily and Norris continue to be amusing. 2 good episodes overall tonight.

LOL at Rita hidden in the closet tonight amongst the coats.

That said, the card storyline is getting silly now, that heart beating noise as Gail realised it was David was daft.

I didn't used to like Legs when she first started, she's a good character now though, as is JoJo.

Is that the last we've seen of Becky "Hiya"?

Now what did you think of tonight's episodes, that last scene with Gail was good

Rita dashing about as she realised that Norris was back was the most active she's been in years!

I think it would be fair to say you are pretty mental.

noticed when gail told the policeman there was blood on the back of the card he already had the back face up, turned it round the wrong way and looked at the front, you could see the bar code facing down

bethany was conspicuous by her absence when they all had tea.

clare's story was just a filler, funny how the cab office has gone from having a head set on the switch to a phone in yesterdays episodes and back to the head set, and since when did steve smoke?

I was thinking that and come to think of it I've never seen Lloyd smoke before either (although I may have missed that). With regards to Steve, the cigarette never went to his lips; perhaps that was to cover up the fact that he diesn't really smoke.

It wasn't a filler, it was a good bit of character based humour, what makes Corrie what it is, silly bits of banter with Steve, singing in the cab office etc. Not every scene needs to feature major plot progression
