A reminder that due to the football there is no episode tonight. Tonights episode will be shown Friday night and Friday and Sunday's shown back to back on Sunday night.

Also next week there is no episode on Wednesday either but there will be a double episode on the Friday.

How I wish I'd read that earlier. I'd just got all settled with a huge ice-cream only to discover the **** football is on Twisted Evil At least they didn't show Corrie at 7.00 like they did once before.

I'd forgotten about it too. For one terrible moment I thought Corrie had changed it's sponsor to 888 Poker when I tuned in at 7.30.

Is it old fashioned to check listings these days ?

Well there was an announcement over the credits of Monday's show to say the next episode would be on Friday.

More often than not Corrie is on Wednesday at 7.30pm and has been for as many of my 34 years that I can remember. It's not something to check the listings for.

Generally I turn off as soon as the credits come on so I missed the announcement.

I was just fed up because I'd been looking forward to chilling out in front of Corrie and it wasn't on - how dare they Exclamation

Since Mid 1961 I think its been on a Monday and Wednesday at 7.30pm - before that it was Monday and Friday at 7pm. Id forgotton it wasnt on as well as I usually read my listings for the following week in Whats on TV a week earlier, It was only when I read the paper that morning I remembered it wasnt on.

I didnt notice that it was announced the next episode was Friday either, mind you the announcements are so dire on ITV that I usually dont bother to listen to their claptrap over the end credits.

Indeed. The thought, "It's Wednesday at 7.30pm, I wonder what ITV are showing tonight..." isn't one I usually have to ponder.

There's a website asking for votes on British icons. Corrie has made it to the list, but doesn't seem to be doing that well...

Here's how to vote:

Corrie - an English icon?

Teletext is reporting that Debra Stephenson who plays Frankie is leaving at the end of the year. She has been in the show for 2 years.

that's nothing compaired to jonny briggs, there seems to be less enthusiasm for new actors to stay in soaps for any great length of time

Nooooo!! Sad Corrie seems to be going through actors/actresses quickly, some of them are not bad.

It's a shame - but they should never have split her and Danny up as she's been little more than a spare part this past few months. I think she's also had some appalling lines, and her acting has gone off the boil too I think.
