i doubt he has a grudge though.

leanne must be starting to show subtle signs of impending baby judging by the extreme close ups in tonights episode.

I thought the sideways shot of her on the settee was great - you could see her legs and her top half only as the shot was nicely set up with the arm of the settee hiding the bump Laughing

Really bad shot tonight, they showed her walking accross the cobbles, full screen. Admittedly she was wearing black (probably thought it wouldn't show) but you could see everything.

Craig: Yeah it's only cos they're worried about you, your their little girl.
Sophie: Little? Craig have you stood behind where the sun shining it's like a eclipse.

Ken and Deidre commented on the drugs smell, I'd not noticed the joint though. A realistic teenage party on Corrie for once?

Just been watching the 1989 episodes - the Alan/Rita story is one of the best ever.

Slightly off-topic I know, but what are you all expecting to see on the new Coronation Street 1960s box set? The first episode will (of course) be there; I hope the episode in which the train crashed off the viaduct will be there. Oh - and here's to Ena and Elsie fighting!

Again off-topic, but how many of you wish to see Danny and Frankie back together? When they look at each other, you can see that Nathan shouldn't really be with Frankie, and that Leanne shouldn't be with Danny. I think they maybe, eventually, will get back together. Oh well..

I prefer the episode where Rita finds out about Alan and he tries to kill her, such a tense episode. Alan's trial and the tram episode were also excellent. The Alan and Rita storyline is one of my favourites.

Well I dont know what they will do about the 1960 DVD as there is usually 8 episodes per disc and only 7 episodes were shown in 1960! Maybe they will just put 1960/61 together. I hope they choose the train crash as well as thats an episode ive never seen (Ive seen hardly any 60s episodes apart from the first 12). Id also like to see Rita's one off appearance in 1964, Betty's first episode in 1969, Elsie and Steve's wedding, Steve's death, the first colour episode which I think was the coach crash.

Yes I totally agree that Danny and Frankie should be together.

I think they will put the 1960-61 episodes together, though it would be nice to even the first seven on DVD (my VHS copy of the first 12 is starting to wear out now!) I'd also like to see Steve and Elsie's wedding as well as the colour episode; I think it was the episode after the coach crash - Daran Little's "The Story of Coronation Street" (1995 version) says that the colour stock couldn't be handled by the black and white cameras, so they used the colour cameras for the episode after.

Was it just me, or did anyone else cheer when Adam punched Danny - whenever Danny said something to Adam, he just seemed to pout* and remain silent.

It's all about Corrie so not at all off-topic I'd say!

I have to agree with you, I really want to see Danny and Frankie back together - it was a mistake for it to go this far I think as Frankie has done least well in terms of having a decent storyline, and has had some appalling lines and scenes (particularly those around Mike's death) - she's always in a mood, and we'd begun to see more to her character before that split too.

I guess that with "Leanne" going off to have a baby (can't remember the actresses name) then this will be the Danny/Leanne split? Frankie ought to be with Danny in the apartment. Not sure how this will square with Jamie though!

I think there's more mileage in Frankie & Danny together than apart - I just hope the divorce doesn't go through first and there's yet another remarriage (Sally/Kevin, Ken/Deidrie).

On another point, Adam is growing on me (after all this time) his acting has improved. They should find a way of making him establish his own business that does really well and out does Danny.

Has anyone else noticed that we've not seen the shop in ages? I'm not complaining though because everytime I see the set (the most unrealistic shop set in the world ever) it makes me mad! Looking back at Alf Roberts' "mini-mart" when he refurbished in the 1980s, it was far more realistic then. The last time I saw the shop, there were random goods dotted on the one or two shelves, in no particular order and in a complete mess. Even the grottiest corner shops have some arrangement of stock on real shelves! Also, who works there now? Is it just Dev? If so, how does he keep it open all hours, and run 7 other shops, and buy all the stock etc? Sunita should come back (having taken just the Coronation Street shop in a divorce settlement) and run it - the twins could be cared for by her family (it may be good to see more of them) and she just comes to the street to work like Audrey, Betty and a few factory girls do. Oh, and GET RID OF DEV for good!

Much to my surprise I found myself cheering then too! Danny really deserved it.

I'm still wondering about Adam's legal advice. Surely the will was dated, and they would be able to argue that at the time of rewriting the will Mike had already started to be of "unsound mind" therefore, the fact that he'd confused Adam with Mark was perhaps why so little was left to him in the end? I can't quite remember my GCSE Law (well it was 18 years ago Shocked !) but I would've thought Adam had a reasonable case to contest the will?

To be honest, I'd cheer if it was the other way. Adam and Jamie both being each other's sidekick and snarling at Danny all the time is quite annoying!
