It was implied it was Saturday as all events took place the day after Friday. Molly stayed at Tyrones on Friday night, and on Friday Gails birthday was "tomorrow".

Most Sunday episodes seem to be set on a Saturday.

Well I'm sure our good friend and fan Jez will be here soon to put us straight.

A good episode tonight. Haven't seen it written by Peter Whalley for a long time.

Back to the Hillman card theories - could it be Vernon, annoyed that Hillman stole his "Tricky Dicky" nickname! Laughing

Just out of interest are any betting agencies allowing people to put money on who they think it is. IIRC, this happened when Hillman was about to kill another character in December 2002 and January 2003.

they seem to have confused the day of Gail's birthday then if it's the 16th of April (Easter Sunday) yet the day was Saturday

Gail could have got some cards in the posts but why would her family give her cards the day before her birthday

the writers obviously wanted her to receive a card on her birthday so much they just fudged the continuity in order to do so

Well ive been away this weekend so havent caught up with Corrie from last night yet however I can tell you that Gail was born on 18th April 1958 so her birthday isnt until tommorow really. So it seems Corrie have either skipped Easter all together or have just got the date wrong!

There has been some confusion about Gail's age rather than the date of her birthday in the past. One book said she was born in 1950, yet her official date of birth as I said is 18.4.58 which means she is 48 now. However they have been known to get it wrong on screen as well. In an episode ive got on video from March 1975 Gail and Tricia Hopkins go into the pub and make a point of asking to be served by Annie Walker as they wanted to order alcoholic drinks because it was Tricia's18th - however Bet asked Gail when she is 18 and she said im not 18 until April. But according to the offical information both Gail and Tricia were born in 1958 so wouldnt be 18 until 1976. And this ties in with the storyline as well as when Gail moved into the shop flat with Tricia in February 1975 (when she became a regular character) she was supposed to be 16.

However they got it right when they said it was her 21st in April 1979 when she got engaged to R Brian and they had a joint birthday/engagement party and as far as I know they have got her age and date of birth right ever since.

Thanks for the warning about Diggory Confused - I cant wait to see him again!
Anyway ive got 3 episodes of Corrie to look forward to today - I might need a lie down after so much Danny Embarassed Smile

My favourite bit from last night was when Norris described his date to Rita and Emily as "common". I was very much put in mind of one of Les Dawson and Roy Barraclough's Cissy and Ada sketches. Top stuff!

It was pointless seeing Diggory last night. I take he was brought in just as a filler. Rolling Eyes

I suppose if they're paying him, they might as well get their money's worth. Wink

I wonder if the suggestion that Tyrone and thingy (his daughter) might take over his shop could be the start of his exit storyline. <Fingers crossed>

And anyhow - I don't know what the situation is in Manchester but we certainly never get any post on a Sunday!

Well they are getting their money's worth of Barbara Knox this year as she has done far more episodes than usual (not that im complaining)

Well we shall see tonight whether it is Easter Monday in Corrie land - but would they really have a funeral on Easter Monday?

Talking of Gail and Tricia earlier got me thinking - I never understood why they got rid of Kathy Jones as Tricia and kept Gail - from what ive seen of Tricia she was by far the better of the 2. Infact the only reason they brought Gail in in the first place was to give Tricia something to do after the rest of the Hopkins family were written out. I do remember Tricia was not best buddies with Deirdre as Tricia fancied Ray, and Deirdre gave Tricia a black eye for spreading rumours Ray was having an affair. Just think if they had kept Tricia and got rid of Gail we would have been spared Nick Tilsley and Sarah Lou entirely. Very Happy

Anyway with regard to Adam, his 18th Birthday is 3rd May, so thats that sorted.

Good to see Archie making a guest appearance.

Poor Danny, he hasn't done (that much) wrong!
Arm't you getting fed up of Adam, Jamie, Frankie and Ken giving him daggers everytime he walks in a room!
