What did everyone think of the Norris and Rita storyline in the first episode tonight? I thought it was a bit daft but just the kind of light relief we need following Mike's death, and Barbara played the scenes very well.

And so Janice is back already - didnt expect her so soon.

I do get the feeling Danny's going to crack soon.

The online dating story is really an updated version of the story from about 1983 when Jack Duckworth joined the 'Bill and Coo Dating Agency' as Vince St Clair and Vera found out out and was his blind date!!

bill and coo dating agency? is that a lonely harts club for pigeon fanciers Very Happy

if so it would suit jack duckworth down to a tee

i remember vince st clare, didn't bet lynch join up and recognise jack and inform vera or something (i was 13 then so the memory may be a bit rusty)

noticed in last nights episode the kabin suddenly acquiring a very visible clock for the first time in 16 years, come to think of it why do non of the houses have clocks in them?

Just what I thought. Ten points for anyone who can remember Vera's fake name! Wink

It's really weird to see the way Coronation Street used to be like.
I wasn't even born when this first aired. It's great. Cool
EDIT: I see ITV are using the new credits.

Oh good. Not only did they ruin the atmosphere at the end of Friday's episode with those awful blue credits, but they also felt they had to superimpose them over a 23 year old epsiode. Well done.
