I haven't watched that much of this storyline (or much TV of late TBH), but have to say Johnny Briggs portrayed Mike's suffering excellently.
His final moment (From which I saw just before Mike gloated about Diedre) was very moving and was rather sad.
BTW was Danny Baldwin's greif genuine or "put on" near the end? The impression I got from alot of this storylien was that he was waiting for Mike to "pop his clogs"
Miles better than EE & if Johnny Briggs or Coronation Street don't win something for this storyline then there is no justice as far as I'm concerened
Loving the Confrontation St trailer though - but is it just me that thinks it gives away the identity of the card sender?
Erm, how ? Explain then. Great trailer though, they don't need to be worried post the Mike Baldwin storyline, there are still some strong storylines running through at the moment.
Great episode tonight, but can somebody explain all that stuff with Rita and the webcam / Ken's video camera ? Was that just a diversion, a reason to get Ken out in the Street ?
Oh an I think Liz is right for the Rovers, it needs a strong iconic female character, and Frankie doesn't cut it quite yet.
It was OK but could have been much better. It felt a bit rushed due to that crap with Liz & her drummer taking up the majority of the episode. I liked the touch of his final words being about his greatest storyline - the Ken, Dreary & Mike love triangle. Rita & Emily conveniently passing by though was downright corny.
good episode tonight and the granada continuity lady kept quite for at least half the silence during the credits.
do continuity announcers not under stand why programmes end silently when a character dies or are they just too ignorant to care
notice the first night street scene, before we see mike lost on the street , they showed one of the end of part one scenes, with the taxi passing and somebody smoking outside the pub
interesting looking back through related news on the bbc website granada quashing rumors back in september 2004 that that mike was being killed off and was contracted until september 06

I would presume it is the start of a future storyline with Norris doing the dating pages in the Weatherfield Gazzette. Rita will find out and probably will set him up to end up meeting someone he knows
Considering we were staring at the usual blue credits in silence with nothing going on at all, the announcer was right to give a quick announcement, it was a bit too silent!. If they'd have gone with the overhead shot with credits overlaid it would have been a different story

i think they have a mole problem
Well apparently he was contracted to around Sept/Oct but they decided to cut the storyline short a few months. I think they made the right decision as they can concentrate on other storylines now.

Yes there is an upcoming storyline with Reet and Norris. Here is the article from the Daily Star;
Corrie favourite Rita Sullivan is sensationally accused of wanting a three in a bed sex romp - with naughty Norris Cole.
The soap's most shocking scandal errupts when busybody Norrris finally lands girlfriend called Helen.
He takes her back to Rita's flat, believing the shop owner is away.
And when she hears the lovebirds arriving she leaps into a broom cupboard to hide.
In true Carry On style, she grows more agitated as she hears newsagent Norris come up with a string of porkies to try to impress his new flame.
He not only tells her that he owns The Kabin shop, but he also claims that Rita is just one of his employees.
And when Rita hears him refer to her as a "troubled soul" her blood boils- and she leaps out of the closet to give him a piece of her mind. But horrified Helen thinks it's all a sordid ploy for a wicked threesome including Rita.
Before storming out Helen yells at stunned Norris: "Just how many women have you got hidden away? Or is this some perverted game where your tart watches you perform with another woman? Well I'm certainly not going to be part of your depraved behaviour - I'm off!"
Furious Norris demands Rita leave the flat, too - before remembering that she actually owns it.
"Both of them are mortified at Helen's outburst," revealed a Street insider.
"In the end Norris quietens down and begins to accept that he's probably better off without Helen after all."
