It has been going on much longer than you probably realise - certainly throughout the latter half of last year there were small incidents which all pointed to it.

Talking of the funeral - any idea when it is? I'm guessing probably Easter Monday.

Also, any news on possible silly scheduling in the next couple of months. We know Corrie is likely to be moved around for the World Cup - and I'm guessing probably before the World Cup begins we'll get some Monday night triple episodes / Friday night doubles to account for any episodes dropped completly during the tournament.

I first noticed the story way back last year, when they dropped in little hints. The genius of the story was that it wasn't in your face, and that many people detected it earlier than others, it was really down to the viewers to find out, before it began to become more obvious.

About the funeral, I'd say Easter Monday is probably your best bet, as it would most likely be spread across a double episode.

On the subject of World Cup scheduling, I'd definitely expect some 10pm episodes. I wish they'd just drop an episode where the World Cup clashed with it's normal timeslot, instead of stupidly re-scheduling it, as it's a lot of hassle trying to make sure you catch them all. As long as nothing big is going on I won't mind too much.

it is annoying when you end up sitting up late waiting for the football to finish, then extra time, penalty shoot out, and annoying pundits discussing how brilliantly somebody kicked a ball into a big net (can you tell i don't like football)

you end up watching the programme nearly 45 minutes later, not good if you have work in the morning

back to corry, i mentioned a while back that mike may try to get into the battersbys as it's the only house on the street he's lived in, i think in Fridays episode he's trying to work out where his factory is.

with regard to ken staying in the street for the duration of the actor's life
ken is actually 7 years older than Bill Roach so we're quite likely to see ken reach 100

Actually I think you'll find Bill Roach is seven years older than Ken. Bill was born in 1932 and Ken celebrated his sixtieth birthday in 1999.

Yes thats right. Bill Roach is over 70 now.

There was an article in the Sun today saying that the older cast in the show want to stay for as long as possible and dont want to be written out like Johnny Briggs wanted. They said that Eileen Derbyshire is the oldest member of the cast - wrong. Have they forgotten about Betty Driver who is around 10 years older than Eileen?

That's one good thing about Champions League being on a Tuesday, we no longer get those Wednesday 9.45 Corries

It's good that they've got back Adam and especially Mark for this big storyline.

It's one of those annoying soap things when family members leave and then are never seen again even at funerals/weddings etc!

Anyone know which train station was doubling up as Weatherfield station tonight?

King Lear?

Not just "a bit", someone had really done their homework there! A very precise parallel.

That was if we were lucky. Quite often there was ET and penalties, so Corrie was sometimes shown as late as 22:30 - 3 hours late.

How come Weatherfield's suddenly got a suburban rail station, when we've seen Metrolink trams going over the viaduct
at the end of the street for about the last five years. Assuming that was actually supposed to be Weatherfield station.
