Are the classic episodes airing for just two days then?

Its appears so, which is a shame but better than nothing. Id like them to show the one where Susan tells him she had an abortion but they probabaly dont want to as it would indicate they changed history. It would have also been nice to show his first episode from 1976.

Tonights episode was good, Blanche was brilliant as usual and it was funny to see Reet's empty vodka bottles on Emily's kitchen floor - a good storyline for Reet would be for her to have a major drink problem.
I also liked the scene with Jamie and Sean.

Farewell Mike

Cheeky cockney Mike Baldwin has been part of our lives for three decades - but alas no more! In this show, Johnny Briggs takes us on a personal tour of Coronation Street to revisit the most important scenes in Mike Baldwin's life. From the bar-room brawls to the birds notched on his bedpost, we look back at Mike's best moments in the street.

That's actually on next Friday at 8pm

Oh right.

Well they could have shown a couple more classic episodes instead of repeating that and the one on the Monday, however im just amazed that ITV are showing any classic Corrie at all!

Well who knows, if they prove to be a ratings-winner, they may be convinced to show some more classic episodes on ITV3. Here's hoping...

Lets hope so - starting with 1970s.

they could show them in the ex Paul o Grady slot.

Talking of Susan's abortion maybe she just lied to mike she'd had an abortion, i don't recall any scene where she actually went to the abortion clinic

Good idea. It would be no different to them showing repeats of Heartbeat and Poirot as they often do during daytime.

Well thats what the script said in 2001, that she lied but after watching that scene where she told him in 1987 it didnt ring true at all. It was only when she told him she had an abortion that he said that she'd killed their marriage. She didnt want them to split up so I dont think she would have told him she'd had an abortion unless she had.

But obviously they brought Adam in and then killed Susan off so that the Ken and Mike feud could continue.

back to the mike story line i thought he might try and get into the battersbys as he used to live there, he still hasn't wondered where number 7 came from as it wasn't there when he lived at number 5

i half expected him to ask about ernest when emily visited him last night

From The Sun;

CORRIE’S Bradley Walsh is to stay on as the soap’s Danny Baldwin after signing a £1million deal.

He was tempted into a “golden handcuffs” agreement with ITV until the end of 2007 by the chance to star in a drama series.

He may also get his own tea-time chat show.

ITV boss Simon Shaps said: “Bradley has an amazing versatility and we’re excited about working with him across drama and entertainment.”

An insider added: “He made it no secret he was keen to do other things.

“We were desperate to land him as other networks were bidding.”

Former comic Bradley, 45, soon became The Street’s resident romeo after joining Corrie in 2004 as Mike Baldwin’s son.

I hope this is true. I like Bradley

If he's sticking around I hope he's in it full time.

One of the things that ruined EastEnders (apart from the bad stories, bad acting, bad continuity etc. Laughing ) is that the actors are allowed to come and go as they please. The latest Mitchell come back is about the third or fourth in six months!

Yes, Ross Kemp has signed some sort of deal like that. Rolling Eyes Confused It just grates on me everytime an actor returns to EastEnders - especially Sharon! Its not such a ''surprise'' anymore.

Something Corrie do not have a problem with....i.e, their characters aren't in and out every now and then. Except of course, for Liz McDonald's latest boyfriend, Vernon (played by Ian Reddington who ironically used to be in EastEnders!) Laughing Although, we'll be seeing more of him next week.

At the moment I am finding it hard to watch Corrie with the Mike Baldwin storyline as my gran is just like that and she has been like that for at least 6 years now. Granada/ITV have not done the storyline any justice, killing him off as soon as he is diagnosed - in reality that just does not happen and it is really a very slow death - and very painful for the relatives. Danny Baldwin is portraying some of the difficulties in coming to term, but again - as usual for ITV Productions nowadays - it is all very rushed.

Good attempt in the storyline, but very bad attempt in rushing the storyline - shame on you ITV Productions
