If Corrie characters are to appear in this Rovers Return pub quiz on ITV Play, I'd imagine it's being made in Manchester, can't imagine them transporting down to London.

Maybe they'll use the real mock up of the Rovers that was part of the Granada studios tour, that is if it's not been dismantled. Shocked

didn't the report say the would be using the mock up rovers, it's still there and is used for interviews with the soap stars when this morning or gmtv do a behind the scenes visit. (which they never advertise in advance so i usually miss them Sad )

the batersby story line is good, nice to see the other side of cilla rather than the hard face front she put on

Indeed. I'm sure we were all expecting Les to go through with crawling across the street on his hands and knees before Cilla and all passers-by laughed at him and then slammed the door in his face.

Instead the ending was very different and unusual for the Battersby-Browns

I don't know about anyone else but I'm really rather fed up of your constant negative comments in this thread.

Excuse me while i go cry myself to sleep Rolling Eyes ,believe it or not i use to be a Corrie fan in the late days of Tricky Dicky. It was great back then with the dark drama but now its "Just a show" nothing else thanks to Itv,Next year Corrie will have a text in competition where you make the Cliff Hanger Twisted Evil

Lots of people were fans of Corrie during the Richards Hillman storyline but that was 3 years ago and the show has moved on.

True fans are those that stick with the show through thick and thin.

There was a piece in the Mirror about the progression of this Richard Hillman storyline. As well as receiving more cards paranoia is fulled when Les Battersby tells everyone he's just given him a lift in his cab.

Any ideas on who the mystery card sender could be?

I don't think it's Richard Hillman - though being dead doesn't automatically rule him out. I think Phil is too obvious, as is David and any of the Platts.

On the Street the main suspect would be the Grimshaws, but I just don't see it - while Violet probably has the motive, but again it be quite out of character.

And a name that just sprung to mind as I wrote this - it couldn't be Martin, could it?

What a fantastic episode tonight! The conclusion to Emily and Ed (although a little over-due) was quite moving I think, and the line from Norris about Emily visiting Demascus was perfect Corrie!

I thought David's scenes were good tonight too; it has to be Phil sending theses cards doesn't it?

I'm a bit bored with the Josh story already though, once this is through I'm starting to want to see the back of Ashley and Claire to be honest.

As others have said, it was good to see a different side to Cilla this week too - this needs to be brought out some more, it'd be good to get to know her a bit better to understand the brassy front - this is what they did with Janice over time, and they'd forgotten that until those "final" scenes with Fiz.

If it's not Phil, I think the Grimshaws are too busy getting on with life, as is Martin - why would they do it? If Ashley wasn't preoccupied with Josh he could be a suspect - but what about Maxine's mother? One of Richard's conned customers - Vera and Jack? How about Shelly - she was very close to Duggie Fergason? But what's the motive, other than David wanting to frame Phil and vice-versa. David should've said he was going to Audrey's instead - she doesn't seem to trust Phil. Why was Phil slamming that lap-top shut? Confused

Maybe David sent one card, then Phil sent one and they are playing each other at their own game Laughing

Forgot to mention perhaps it's even Gail herself - well, she hasn't had any decent storylines in a while! Has Bethany learned to write yet aswell?

The only other person I think it could be is Craig, taking his revenge out on the Platts for Martin's relationship with Katy leading to the death (or imprisonment) of his family.

CORRIE EXCLUSIVE: DICKY'S BACK
Corrie bosses plot the return of evil murderer Hillman
By Brian Roberts
CORONATION Street fans are in for one of the biggest soap intrigues since Dirty Den came "back from the dead" in rival soap EastEnders.

Corrie chiefs hope to cast serious doubt on whether killer Richard Hillman actually perished in a canal.

Viewers have been gripped as the Platt family have received greetings cards supposedly signed by Hillman.

But the nightmare that he too will "return from the dead" is fuelled in earnest when Les Battersby (Bruce Jones) tells everyone he has just given "Tricky Dicky" Hillman (Brian Capron) a lift in his cab.

He warns: "Everyone had better keep their doors and windows locked ... Richard Hillman is back."

And in a mid-April episode viewers will watch as Gail (Helen Worth) gets the most spooky card to date. It reads: "Happy Birthday dearest Gail. Looking forward to seeing you all very, very soon. Love Richard."

A source said: "There were record audiences of 20 million when Tricky Dicky was at his murderous best.

"Now with this incredible twist we're banking on a winner. All Weatherfield begins to think he's back."

With gossip at fever pitch the Platts relive the night he drove into a canal in a bid to kill them all. They escaped, Hillman's body was found and the family thanked God he was out of their lives. Or was he?

The killer conman first appeared in 2002 when he tricked his way into the heart of gullible Gail.

Shortly after marrying her he began his reign of terror, murdering Maxine Peacock (Tracy Shaw) as well as bludgeoning Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire).

He also killed ex-wife Patricia (Annabelle Apsion) and left business partner Duggie Ferguson (John Bowe) to die after he fell down stairs. And for good measure he tried to burn Gail's mum Audrey to death.

----------------------------------------------

Well if this is true I think its totally stupid. Richard is dead and we all saw the body. As I said earlier they should move on and concentrate on other storylines and characters. Corrie has been on brilliant form so far this year and doesnt need to resort to bringing Hillman back.

I agree, that was a really excellent episode tonight. I liked the end of the Emily and Ed storyline and im glad she has forgiven him and has returned to the old Emily.

I dont think its Martin - he would have nothing to gain especially as he has a new girlfriend/baby on the way. I also dont think its Violet, she has moved on from Jason now. I think its Phil - he was quick to put the blame on David tonight. However it will probabaly be someone we dont suspect at all.

Anyway, there was an article in the Daily Star today saying Norris persuades Reet to buy a computer for the Kabin, only he doesnt tell her he wants it for Internet dating. She finds out so she sets him up with a date that turns out to be her. It could be lies though as this is the Daily Star we are talking about, however its great that Reet is being given more scenes recently.
